Over the past 14 years, I have worked in schools in the UK, teaching primary subjects such as literacy, numeracy, science etc. as well as teaching EFL. During those 14 years, I have worked with native students as well as those who spoke English as a foreign or second language, or didn't speak English at all. I have also led an educational project to set up a free bilingual primary school in London, UK. Living in London has given me a fantastic opportunity to privately tutor numerous students from all over the world. This has been, by far, the most fascinating experience of all. I have also worked with newly qualified and less experienced teachers, who needed mentoring and guidance in their first years of teaching. As a bilingual person, I know first hand what it is like to learn a language, what sort of obstacles you have to overcome and what difficulties you experience as a learner. In addition to English, I also speak Polish, French, 'survival' German and a bit of Russian.
