Hi, I'm Yana, a multidisciplinary artist and educator living and working in Brussels, Belgium. My work is in the collection of the Museum of Spontaneous Art in Brussels and has been featured in the Dutch Design Week. My work is inspired by the ordinary and extraordinary experience of living a life, often with a playful, humorous and absurd streak. It emphasises experimentation and diverse materials, from traditional oils and watercolours to crushed autumn leaves and chocolate sweets wrappers. Painting aside, my mediums have included sculpture, 3D printing and writing, and my explorations have recently found their way into print in my surreal semi-autobiographical graphic novel titled “My story”. I teach art to children and adults in Belgium and worldwide in workshops, face-to-face lessons, online, and even during city walks.
