I live in Wellington New Zealand. Over the years I’ve worked as a teacher, pastoral assistant, university chaplain, counsellor, Race Relations mediator, Life Skills tutor, psychodramatist and trainer of counsellors in a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility. For the past 20 years I’ve run my own business TUF: Thriving Under Fire, a training company that assists people to manage emotions in the workplace. I’m also a founding director of Workplace Skills Development Academy in Bangladesh, where we deliver training to senior level corporate executives and university students. I’m a strong advocate for communicating ideas through story and of giving back to the world, which has so richly gifted me learning, people and a secure place to live. Additional to my work experiences I have university qualifications in Anthropology, Theology, and Adult Education. I'm a Fellow of the New Zealand Association of Training and Development (NZATD), a member of the New Zealand Human Resources Institute (HRINZ) and a qualified Trainer, Educator, Practitioner in the Australian and Aotearoa New Zealand Psychodrama Association (AANZPA). I was chair of AANZPA’s Ethics Committee for more than seven years and a member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) for ten years and served on their Ethics Committee. I was an accredited member of The National Speakers Association of New Zealand (NSANZ) where I developed my skills as a speaker and conference presenter.
