I am Chef Peri Avari, a native of cosmopolitan Mumbai in western India, have been in the US for 16 years and am currently based in the SF Bay Area. I draw on over two decades in the professional food industry starting with the Taj Hotels in India managing state visits of high ranking dignitaries and international celebrities, to promoting Indian food in China, and most recently co-founding a corporate catering business in California’s Silicon Valley. My Indian Parsi Zoroastrian roots and love for travel help promote and demystify my native Indian cuisines to a global audience through my food blog ‘Peri’s Spice Ladle,’ two cookbooks and the recent launch of 'Simply Bhonu' my virtual Indian cooking school.
