I have over 18 years of progressive financial experience in accounting and finance, having served as a Chief Financial Officer and Financial Controller for many years, in several regulated and non-regulated businesses. My teaching and coaching experience spans overs 24 years with focus on Information Technology, Accounting and Finance. I trained as an Audit Trainee with Lemibayo Aro & Co (Chartered Accountants) and later worked at AIICO Pension Managers Limited (APML), a Licensed Pension Fund Administrator, as Head Financial Control & Reporting and later Head, Contribution (Operations) and before leaving APML, became a Senior Research Analyst & Portfolio Manager in the Investment Department (with over 75 billion Pension Assets Under Management). I then proceeded to become the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at IGI Pension Fund Managers Limited (Now Radix Pension Managers Limited) and later CFO at Meritex Consulting Limited. I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and have over 29 years’ working experience and over 16 years’ post-professional qualification experience with a diverse career that began as a Computer Technician. I became a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in 2002, and after a 10-year stint in IT, made a career change to Accounting and Finance. I hold a First Class Honours degree in Applied Accounting from the Oxford Brookes University, U.K. and also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK). I am an Authorized Dealing Clerk of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and hold a Postgraduate Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
