Shad Moarif was Vice President, International Dyslexia Association (IDA), Vancouver BC and also served as Member, Advisory Board, IDA, BC, Canada (2002 -2009)
He worked as a teacher-training consultant for a  DFID(UK) funded Project “Teach as you Learn” conducted in Pakistan for primary and middle Math (mainly rural) Teachers (2015-2017)
He qualified as a Counselling Psychologist from Harvard University and studied cognitive sciences and language learning difficulties in the context of exceptional brains. He   has conducted extensive Psychological and Educational assessments and taught Mathematics for 35 years to children and young adults with math-learning difficulties.
Shad has spoken at numerous Conferences and conducted Teacher Training workshops and Seminars in Vancouver, Calgary, Geneva, Chicago, Montreal, New York, Singapore, Dhaka, Karachi, Nairobi, Jakarta and London.  He has also keynoted at five international conferences.
He is the Founder-Developer of the Karismath program: www.karismath.com, and is a member of the National Association of Mathematics Advisors, (NAMA), U.K
