I am a community facilitator, teacher, director, and writer as well as an actor and a bit of a clown who moonlights as a writer, presenter, and reporter.
I studied at the University of Western Sydney – Nepean (Theatre) and at the University of Technology – Sydney (BA Communication). I hold various certificates including Neurolinguistics Programming, Child Psychology,  Child Self-esteem, Dyslexia and Autism, Speech & Language Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Writing for Children, Train the trainer and a Child Behaviour Diploma.
I've also trained with Jo Kelly in her Instinctive Actor course and done a clowning workshop with The Humour Foundation, an acting workshop with Sara Wiseman, a Shakespeare workshop with Glenda Linscott, and voice with John Noble.
My experience is varied. I have worked as a presenter and a host for various live events as well as FACES IN A CROWD & STREET NOISE for SPN Television, Presenter for the Speakers’ Club YouTube Channel, and a radio host for Mind for Life (specifically focusing on physical and emotional well-being). Acting highlights include Moliere at the Belvoir, acting with David Ritchie in Place with the Pigs, playing Tiger Lily at Capitol Theatre, stunts on the Superman movie and working for Universal Studios.
I also work as an online presenter for GATEWAYS, facilitating programs for gifted and talented children and the Smith Family working with the disadvantaged. Finally, I often work with refugees as well as people with special needs (I have experience with profoundly deaf students, blind and those on the spectrum) to help them express their experiences and discover their voice through self-devised theatre and various workshops.
I teach speech and drama all over Australia working with performing arts schools such as the Australian Institute of Performing Arts, The Q Theatre, The Powerhouse Youth Theatre, the Academy of Screen Arts, and the Speech & Drama Studio.
I teach acting (film, theatre, classical, stylised, physical, etc.), clowning, script analyses, stage combat, presenting (corporate, entertainment, interviewing, etc.), writing (all genres), public speaking, and life skills. I prepare students for ASCA and TRINITY exams and various Eisteddfods and debating competitions as well as auditions, corporate events, and seminars.
Furthermore, I also work with teachers to assist them in understanding and appreciating how dramatic arts can enhance their classroom work. I provide them with tools and strategies to enrich their lessons and impassion their students.
I have been involved with community theatre working closely with refugees and children at risk as people with disability to help them express their experiences and discover their voice through self-devised theatre, various workshops, and public speaking.
I am also a published author who has written primarily for the theatre. My plays were produced professionally in prestigious Sydney theatre venues. I have also worked as an editor for Your Online Community.
I am passionate about inspiring my students and assisting them in reaching their potential. I believe it is vital to provide opportunities for everyone to be heard, and to express themselves in a nurturing environment that would allow them to explore their world and grow.
My motto is: Stand up tall and be heard!
