We live in a fast-paced world, everything around us moves at an ever-increasing speed. This is especially true when you are applying for your next job, whether it's "THE" job or the next step in your career path. 

The hiring managers are inundated with applications, most of which will not pass through the ATS, this magic black box that filters the "Relevant" applications versus the "not so relevant", hence there are certain keywords, layouts, and phrases which the Applicant Tracking System picks up on, once you pass the ATS, the hiring manager will review it, you would imagine that if a human reads my resume, then I am in a good shape to get contacted as "my skills are spot on what they are looking for", well I wish it was that easy. 

Statistically speaking, the initial average time spent on reviewing your resume is no more than 35 seconds, yes, you read that correctly, 35 seconds I know, I was shocked and could not believe this, hence I went online did some further research, all the studies have similar data, some go as low as 15 seconds.
