This 10-week course provides health care professionals and interested community members a basic foundation in Medical Herbalism. Students will explore the basic concepts of herbal terminology and medicinal uses of herbs for different systems of the body.
Topics will include cultural diversity, traditional and modern techniques in diagnostics, and medicinal uses of herbs as well as touch on herbal preparations and regulations, plant identification, and herb-drug interactions.
Classes will be Starting Wed, Jan 11, 2023, 4-6 pm MST (class dates are 1/11, 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1, 3/8, 3/15).
This class is part of a Level 1 Certificate Program which includes Clinical Herbalism 102 - Preparations ( 8 weeks starting in April) and Clinical Herbalism 103 - Drug Herb Interactions, (8 weeks starting in September).
