This is an opportunity to practice both architectural and street photography.
Street painters will transform the Mission Plaza into an art gallery of awe-inspiring, large-scale images. Using pastels, artists design more than 150 vibrant scenes showcased on the pavement throughout the weekend.
We will start the day with a self-guided tour exploring the architecture of the Old Mission before photographing the artists and paintings. To avoid traffic and parking problems, most of us will take the train from the Ventura area to Santa Barbara. From there, we will take an Uber to Mission Plaza.
There are no restaurants within walking distance, so bring some snacks and water. We will meet up for a meal at a restaurant in the vicinity of the train station before we board the train. If you plan to drive, plan to arrive early, as parking will be difficult.
