If so, you're in for a treat in this group that Karen Floyd and Joanne Williams will co-host together to allow you to explore the fascinating practice of Active Dreaming to show you the answers you are seeking for success. Our dreams are metaphors for the actions that need to be taken.

In this group, Karen Floyd and Joanne Williams will guide you through the process of active dreaming step-by-step, helping you release and process any subconscious blocks that may impede your success in the present.

Here are the steps for Active Dreaming as presented by Karen Floyd:

  • Feel Outside the Dream: You will have the chance to share your dreams by telling it in the present. For instance, say, "I am walking down the street, and I see..." This approach allows you to immerse yourself in the dream experience, even if you can't recall the entire dream. Every dream fragment is honored and considered valuable.
  • Recognition: Recognize elements in your dream that may be connected to other dreams or aspects of your current life. Dreams often contain symbols, methaphors and themes that can be linked to your waking life.
  • Future Possibility: Reflect on whether any elements of your dream could have relevance or significance for your future. Could the dream be offering insights into upcoming events or your aspirations?

As a group, we will offer Curiosity and Inquiry:

Everyone in the group can contribute by saying, "If this were my dream, I might think about or wonder about this..." Sharing your perspectives and insights can offer valuable interpretations and fresh perspectives. Or never sharing, it is up to you.

Joanne Williams' training in dream analysis:

  • Emphasizing the feelings or emotions in the dream and contextual dimensions of dreams.
  • This method recognizes that dreams often serve as a conduit for the subconscious mind to process unexpressed and unprocessed information.
  • Dreams often communicate using metaphorical language.

In the workshop, we will encourage individuals to interpret these as metaphors, symbols, and allegories within their dreams. This process can be illuminating, as it can reveal deeper layers of meaning and help individuals make sense of the messages their subconscious is conveying.

Joanne Williams' Dream Analysis steps:

  • Emotional Exploration: Consider the emotions or the feelings you experienced in the dream. Emotions often hold key insights into your subconscious.
  • Connection to Your Life: Reflect on what the dream reminds you of from your past or how it relates to your current life. Dreams frequently draw from your personal experiences and emotions.
  • With this new awareness, you can reorient to allow the understanding to pave the way for resolution and healing.

The goal of the group is to Increase your awareness to resolve stuck or unresolved unconscious issues affecting your success. By analyzing the contextual elements within a dream, such as the people, places, and objects encountered, individuals can begin to understand the situations and relationships that are influencing your success that you are unaware of in your subconscious.

Karen Floyd is a Transformational Coach and author. She teaches people to change their brainwaves to boost physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being after a life setback. Joanne S. Williams, LCSW, is a 30+ year licensed mental health professional. She guides her clients through life transformations to break through obstacles to live a fuller life.
