Quarterly Image Competitions

Quarterly Image Competitions are offered to provide competitive scoring, feedback, critique, and awards for our members. All competitions are judged by a panel of 3 PPC or PPA-certified judges.

Up to four images can be submitted for each quarterly competition. There is a $10.00 fee for each image submitted. Please use the appropriate codes when registering for the competition.

The competition is for individual digital images and digital albums. These entries are judged against a standard of excellence using the 12 Elements of a Merit Image as a guide. These guidelines closely follow those used by PPA (Professional Photographers of America, Inc.). There are 4 four image competitions per year: February, May, August, and November (or as adjusted by the Board of Directors). Scores from all four competitions in a year will be used to determine the Photographer of the Year for each Category and the Photographer of the Year. The awards will be presented at the January Awards Gala.
