Or perhaps you weren’t sure how to apply those final touches that make an image truly stand out?

The key to creating compelling, award-winning images is receiving quality, constructive feedback — and that’s exactly what this workshop offers. In the Session 2 workshop portion of the “Secrets for Creating Great Photographs”, Sherron will lead an insightful session focused on image critiques designed to help you elevate your work to a new artistic level.

This hands-on workshop is tailored for photographers who want to refine their images in a more artistic way and better understand what makes an image successful. Students are encouraged to bring 3 to 5 images they’re currently struggling with or feel are nearly complete but not quite there. Images with intact layers are especially helpful for detailed critique.

During the group portion, each student will submit one layered image (if possible) for an open critique. Sherron will share honest, constructive feedback rooted in her artistic approach to photography, highlighting both the strengths and the areas for improvement. Her suggestions are aimed at enhancing visual impact and bringing clarity and polish to your vision.

After the group critique, Sherron will work one-on-one with students on their remaining images, guiding them through suggested changes and answering questions.

If time permits, Sherron will also walk through some of her own award-winning images — including the one that received a perfect score of 100 at both state and national competitions. She’ll demonstrate the layer-by-layer adjustments and thought processes behind her edits, showing how simple Photoshop techniques can transform a good image into a great one.
