Hello Learners

Welcome to my course on Instructional Design Fundamentals for Instructional designers, teachers, and trainers.

I have conceptualized this course out of my own learnings and passion to deliver excellent results to learners in my long career of more than 25 years. I have worked in the industry, in academics, as a corporate trainer, and in business. I have conceptualized paradigms of learning in the early days of science and art and have started learning functions in colleges and companies. I have worked in production, quality control, MIS, Sales, and Marketing in a factory, been in the computer training industry for several years. I have worked as a professor teaching MBA students and have been a corporate trainer for big brand multi-national companies. I have trained thousands of teachers as well as working professionals all over the world. I have developed a passion for training and coaching people on Instructional design and on the English language. I wish to share my knowledge and expertise including my experiences in Instructional Design, teaching, and training to benefit all others who wish to pursue their passion as a career in these fields.

I have conceptualized and been part of the team to develop a world-class learning management system (LMS) EduNxt, which is now deployed in some of the world's biggest organizations and many banks. I have also handled large teams(65- 85 people) of Instructional Designers, Graphic designers, subject matter experts, content developers, conceptualized the building of a video production studio, and have developed more than 400 courses.

While making an attempt to give you the most fundamental concepts to enhance your thinking, I have made sure to include many application-oriented examples to keep the course tethered to reality on the ground. The theories and models that I have discussed here form the very fundamental basis of Instructional Design since its inception and arms you with frameworks to be able to think through many of the current technologies and applications including social media applications and to exercise critical analysis and judgment over these applications.
