Hello everyone and welcome to Introduction to video editing within video part one and in this video we are going to talk about why you should be using video. Well why should you use video? Well, videos are taking over the Internet, and more and more people are starting to prefer video compared to other content types such as images, carousels and slideshows. The reason for this is that video is more of a just click play, sit back and relax scenario. And people in today's world want to be entertained. Video is also easier than reading and video allows for captions as well as music.

Now there's different uses of via the first one is animated video. So if you want to do let's say a whiteboard animation video, you also get promo or ads videos that you You can use in your Facebook ads, like I discussed in my digital marketing for real schools. We talked about running video ads quite a lot. And you can also run specific video campaigns. You also get 360 videos or virtual reality, your normal slideshows, then this live video. So for example, on YouTube and on Facebook now you can do live video, also an Instagram, it's coming in, where you can do live video and you know all your followers and everybody that's following your page or subscribing to your channel can see that you are live now, they'll probably also get a notification.

And this can be handy when doing certain types of marketing efforts. You also get the video blog or the vlog, which has become quite popular over the last few years. And then the last one is drone footage, which has become quite popular especially in real estate for taking overhead photos of a property. So there are ways to create your own video right. The first one is obviously the one I'm doing going to be discussing in this course, we just called the in video platform. Now, there are other ways as well, you can use something like Caden live to create a video or OBS Studio or Camtasia.

But those tools are extremely heavy, and they can be quite complicated. Now, even though they might be powerful, it's like using paint versus using Photoshop. And you need some extra skills. And it takes a lot longer to learn these platforms, especially if you want to create a short and sweet, easy video. And this is where a video comes in, right in videos easy to use. It's like creating a PowerPoint presentation.

And that's what I'm going to show you in the advanced school. So the part two course, we will actually get into some extremely advanced projects and I'll show you how easy it is to create your own video videos. There's both free and the paid option. So there's the free version, which you can easily use if you don't need videos of let's say an HCP or you don't need videos of extreme length You only need to use, let's say smaller or shorter videos. And those options are they. So I really recommend that you check out in video to use maybe one of the free options if you do not want to pay for the platform as of yet.

There's also a bunch of useful features like creating a via from script files and also using predefined templates to create your video. So that's it for this video, and I'll see you in the next one.
