DESCRIPTION: The seventh chapter in this training program explores a fairly new psychological model, called The SCARF Model. It was made by David Rock in 2008 and has been a crucial entity in the psychology and coaching world since then. The chapter deep dives into the five social domains that are connected to the threat and reward responses for each domain. Leveraging this technique can help coaches support their clients through their journey of self-awareness and finding out areas in life where they are stuck. As in the previous chapters, the candidates will also explore some of the crucial ICF core competencies like embodying a coaching mindset (CC2), cultivating trust and safety (CC4), maintaining coaching presence (CC5), and evoking awareness (CC7) in this chapter as well.
