DESCRIPTION: The third chapter of Matrix's BPC Training Program looks into the popular Logotherapy as deduced by Viktor Frankl in the 1940s. The psychotherapy model is popular in coaching practices but stemmed from Viktor Frankl’s personal experiences after surviving the Nazi concentration camps. The primary learning of this chapter is to explore the true meaning of Logotherapy, its implementation, and understanding of how people can find purpose in current situations of hardships. It also explores the six basic assumptions of Logotherapy and how coaches can align them into their coaching practice. Besides exploring the different elements of logotherapy, the chapter also delves into a few ICF Core competencies, including coaching mindset (CC2), cultivating trust and safety (CC4), evoking awareness (CC5), and maintaining coaching presence (CC7).
