DESCRIPTION: The first chapter of the BPC program tackles the deeper thinking of the human brain. It gets into learning further about human behavior, its impacts on people, and how a coach needs to hone their listening and questioning skills to better gauge the mindset and story of the client they are working with. The chapter also delves into the theory of psychoanalysis as clarified by Sigmund Freud and his three components of the human mind – id, ego, and superego. All of these three components combine to create the complex human personality that coaches work with in real-time. Dissecting and understanding these psychological elements with the mix of individual core competencies of how to embody a coaching mindset (CC2)  and maintain a coaching presence (CC5)  is the first foundational pillar of the BPC program.
