DESCRIPTION: In the fourth chapter of the BPC program, learners are introduced to an exclusive psychological theory curated by the Program Director, Dr. Paras. The TEA model focuses on the importance of congruency and enables a coach to explore their client’s current state of mind. The technique delves into exploring the space and asking relevant questions to the client to analyze their thought process to derive better coaching success in the end. The chapter will well acquaint the learners with the important concepts involved in the TEA model, along with its implementation. The concept also involves the heavy influence of Mindfulness, which is further explored in the chapter as well. Alongside this interesting psychological theory, the chapter also analyzes a few of the ICF Core Competencies including embodying a coaching mindset (CC2), cultivating trust and safety (CC4), maintaining coaching presence (CC5), and evoking awareness (CC7) and the behavioral impacts of the same.
