DESCRIPTION:

Scenario Q
An argument has broken out in your group, as some of them want to skip a visit to a local clay pot making factory, saying they have seen the process before, it is boring and nothing but a 'shopping opportunity'. The group seems to be split about 50:50.
What do you do?
It depends. If the visit is part of the itinerary described in the tour brochure, you have to go ahead with it. If however, it is an optional excursion offered by you, you should provide it for those who want to go. As you would only offer optional excursions on 'free' days, make sure you give the non-participants a choice of two or three other activities and help them to book them -before you set off.
Your first duty is to offer the group a range of options whenever possible.
