DESCRIPTION: 

If you pass an accident try not to get involved if it doesn't concern you, call for help or an ambulance if it is needed. As a witness you may get caught up in legal claims, have to act as a witness, or get involved in police or legal procedures in a lot of countries. Some countries even make you apart of their legal proceedings, depending on the type of accident (in the event of death).
In saying this, you should bear in mind your own morals and ethics when witnessing or being involved in an accident.
If you are involved in an accident:
Call an ambulance if anyone is injured and administer first aid. Make sure anyone injured is seen by a doctor, no matter how seemingly mild the injury is. Once the doctor has given the all-clear for the client to continue traveling, get a written note to that effect.

Don't accept liability if you are involved in an accident (legal liability)
Call the police and ask for a statement, for the insurance company
If you can, make sure you take a photo...
