DESCRIPTION:
How to remember names and impress your clients.
It is vital that you learn your groups' names (most companies suggest first names, but check first). One good way is to learn by association e.g. Henry might have a funny Hat, Sarah might be sharing with Oscar.
If your not sure or forget we would recommend using 'Sir' or 'Ma'am', until they give you to give permission for the use of their given name, and that will remind you.
We have found it easier to remember a couple's names together first, and if both are of the same sex, sort out which is which later, by asking.
Use nicknames if clients ask you to. You can ask the group to sit in the same place for the first couple of briefings to help you - it gives you an opportunity to joke about them shuffling to confuse you...Of course, it's not practical to try to memorize the names of a very large group, but under 20 people should be possible. It is always easier to remember something by associating it with something funny or rude - use...
