10 Vital Preparations Before You Go on Tour


Get yourself a good diary or schedule book, and a notebook. (our app is coming soon)
Take antihistamine or cold & flu medication in your personal medical kit.
Check all your visas and that your passport is in date and has at least four empty pages.
Make sure your vaccinations are all up to date for the area you are working in. Make a list of when they are all due to be repeated and put the dates into your schedule. Book early as these appointments often have low priority in medical centres. Ask your doctor if you have any medical condition which might affect travel vaccines.
Get good travel insurance if this isn't provided by your employer. Check that you will be covered for all the included activities on the tour.
Take whatever reading material you like - you'll need to relax on long outward journeys.
