Scenario B
You are hiking from one mountain village to another. You stop for a rest in the shade of some trees, but one of your group slips and falls down a shallow gully. After checking you can see that his leg is broken. It will take an hour to walk back down to the beginning of the walk and it is another half-hour walk to the next village. It will be dark in 45 minutes.
