Tips for making yourself comfortable during the flight - and what to take in your flight bag


Put on flight socks before boarding (tight and awkward to pull on)
We always take a flight bag containing a small water bottle, book, deodorant stick, wet wipes, small toothbrush and toothpaste, small plastic bottle of mouthwash, face and hand cream, and a change of clothes - 'just in case'.
Before settling into my seat I take out my book, notebook, water, music, and any tour research or documentation I need to study, and place them in the seat pouch, to save me getting up and down too often during the flight.
Take a travel cushion.
Set your watch or travel clock to destination time to help avoid jet lag. It works! Your brain immediately 'adjusts' to the new time zone before you even take off.
Put your hand or man bag by your feet
Always follow the advice of flight attendants - don't argue. You are an ambassador for your employer.
