Jolly Phonics as a method is activities based. Basically, in Jolly Phonics, children are taken through stages of learning the 42 main sounds of the English language as well as how these sounds are written.
They are simultaneously taken through stages of blending these sounds into words, words into sentences, and consequently, reading and writing; thus making the twin arts of reading and writing  not only easily achievable but more interesting and innovative
