This week we are going to learn forty-two vocabulary words and sentences. Depending on who you are speaking with, you will need to adapt your greeting. There are formal and informal ways to greet someone.

Take this lesson to the next level and ask people from different cultures how they greet someone the first time they meet them. For example, in some Latin American countries in a business environment, we greet each other with a handshake and a kiss on the cheek. There are many interesting ways to greet people in each culture. It is respectful to follow their traditions especially when you first meet them.

Esta semana vamos a aprender cuarenta y dos palabras y oraciones de vocabulario. Dependiendo de con quién estés hablando, necesitarás adaptar tu saludo. Hay formas formales e informales de saludar a alguien.

Lleva esta lección al siguiente nivel y pregúntale a personas de diferentes culturas cómo saludan a alguien la primera vez que las conocen. Por ejemplo, en algunos países latinoamericanos en entornos de negocio nos saludamos con un apretón de manos y un beso en la mejilla. Hay muchas maneras interesantes de saludar a las personas en cada cultura. ¡Es respetuoso seguir sus tradiciones especialmente cuando se conocen por primera vez.
