Words you will need to know

Lock it up to said by the AD and means no more crew movement, the AD is about to call the roll. 
The frame before the director calls ‘Action,’ the camera operator/DP has to call ‘Frame’ to indicate that they are ready to go.
Everyone settle not far off from ‘Lock it off,’ this is something an AD will say over the walkie or out loud to indicate that the cameras are about to roll and all crew needs to be quiet and settled into a place where they will not make any noise.

Any reasons why not?:

The AD will say this to ask, generally, if there is anything else that has to happen before the camera roll and the scene is filmed. 
Let’s go for one the AD will say this once all lights are set, the sound is ready, cameras are ready and the director has placed the actors where they need to be. This phrase is also a quick way to get the crew moving a bit faster (or so ADs hope).
