Communication is key
I like to think being on set is like being in freefall. You've jumped out of the airplane. There's nothing more you can do. Hopefully, you've prepared enough and taken the time to consider what you have to accomplish. Now it's just about getting to the ground. A lot of what makes a good production go bad is a lack of communication. Embargoing the free exchange of information doesn't leave you, your HODs, or anyone on the crew, any better off.Sometimes there are a million things going through your mind on set. You are always racing the clock. And have a ton of competing demands for who you should communicate with first. But always make sure to take a moment and inform your team what is happening next, and what is needed from them.
