You need a structure for your story  Without structure, your story will crumble. 

A key practice I follow is understanding the beginning middle and end of my story. If my idea is missing one of those pillars, it’s time to go back to the drawing board.

Shot-lists, scripts, and story-beats

If you can write a script do it.
If you don’t have the resources or skills, create a shot list and story beat document. This will act as the basic guideline to constructing a story. This will keep you on track
