What your style?

First off, you don’t need to know your style. I hated getting asked this when I was starting out as a director. It takes time to figure out your favorite cinematic techniques and preferences. Some of the best directors alive are still discovering new ways to express their stories. 
My best recommendation for discovering style is to experiment and explore the unknown in the creative space. Personally, I've noodled with nearly every genre and style of filmmaking imaginable, from video essays to feature films, and doing this, has helped me land on what I love most
If you're eager to experiment, but perhaps lacking budget and resources, a great stride forward is working in the space of creating music videos experimentation is a welcomed skill in that space because it makes the pieces vulnerable to originality.
