For enterprise risk management, Risk managers will need to think out of the box and shift their focus from the routine risk tasks to new innovative ideas that might keep the business intact and running. It’s a matter of survival and sustainability for companies. The lessons from Covid-19 must be well learnt. Corporates must invest in Crisis management and proper training must be given to risk owners. For businesses to survive a crisis, they should always establish a crisis management framework that directly reports to senior management.
We saw how Corona dramatically changed the old way that we used to do business. Employees were forced to work from home and meetings were conducted online in a virtual way. Companies suffered a lot to adapt to the new business routines as they never had contingent plans in place.
