This week the behavior issue we will work on is stealing. It is a very common habit for young dogs to steal items they aren’t supposed to have. It’s our job to take the time to train them so they know which things that they are allowed to have and which things they aren’t.

Dogs don’t have a sense of “mine” and “yours.” If something seems appealing, they are going to grab it. A stolen item is often a reward in itself. It’s something yummy, like food. Or stinky, like socks, shoes, or underwear. They might also chew and play with toys that belong to the little humans. Included this week are two more games to try with your dog and a wrap-up on the fundamental commands you have been practicing the past five weeks.

Congratulations on completing the course. Please send me any feedback or comments you may have and be on the lookout for more Sit Mofo Sit courses coming soon.
