DESCRIPTION: When it comes to working out postpartum, it's less about what you do and more about how you do it. For every exercise or even movement you do, you have 3 rules to follow to ensure that the movement or exercise serves your body. They are:

Neutral posture
Diaphragmatic breath
Conscious recruitment of abdominals
No symptoms (pain anywhere, incontinence, pelvic heaviness or pressure, bleeding, coning/doming/tenting/push out of abdomen)

If you are unsure about the meaning of any of these, please go revisit the modules on posture, breath, and abdominal modules. If you are doing something and you can't check these three things off, try your best to consciously correct and if you still can, it's time to modify. If you still cant with modifications, that exercise or movement isn't serving your body right now so ditch it but continue to revisit it as you get stronger and stronger. The moment you can perform the movement or exercise with the 3 rules, you're good to go.
