Hello friends. Welcome to this special effects tutorial from Aroha media. In this assignment, we are going to see another type of waterfall. Let's begin by pressing Ctrl N to create a new document. Now select the rectangle tool, press our draw a vertical rectangle on your screen, fill the rectangle with blue. Now, double click and convert it into a symbol shortcut key f8 set the type as graphic and the registration needs to be placed at the center.

Now go inside symbol, double click on outline and deleted next by using the free transform tool shortcut key Q. We have to stretch the rectangle from both the sides top and down. Keep work area unlocked shortcut key Ctrl Shift plus w This is the toggle key provided to lock or unlock the work area options which we are already familiar Do it. Now we select eraser tool, then select a small rectangular.in the eraser tool and randomly will erase parts of the rectangle. This will work for our water flow, we have to erase in this way from top to bottom. The method which we are using to create the shape on the screen should be observed and followed carefully.

Now select the complete shape, which we have to convert into a group shortcut key Ctrl plus G and prepare a duplicate instance of it for which we have to follow the shortcut method. That is keep alt pressed on the keyboard and by clicking and dragging, we'll get duplicate copy of it, both the new object groups have to be placed neatly. Now entering into the groups and by using eraser tool, we have to edit it in such a form that it will merge into each other. Now both are looking like the same one. Next, select both the objects and shift them downwards converted into a symbol graphic set keyframe after creating a symbol, go to the 15th frame and create motion twin. Now we shift the same symbol upwards by using the first key and shifted slightly downwards on the 15th key.

So the basic animation will take place between one to 15 frames. Now we add a new layer. Draw a rectangle by selecting the rectangle tool shortcut key are we can only see expected result on the screen after using right click and mask. The portions that we don't want to see are hidden. We are already familiar with the same technique. We have learned how to use it in earlier tutorials.

Now we can edit the main animated patch by unlock layer. Next, keep the mask area on outline mode. Here preview is not visible because there is only one key frame outside the main symbol. We have not used 15 frames there for that there is another option that is first go to Window and then click on duplicate window. Now we can see the same file opening on the original outside work area. Next we go to the 15th frame and press f5 Now, press Control plus enter.

Here we can see the preview of the animation created. We are on the actual work area in this file. And we are in the edit mode of the symbolic In this file, now we enter into the symbol and squeeze it by selecting both the groups. Here we can see the field of water. Next, we again change the color of the waterfall. By entering into the symbol.

We should use the same color for both the groups. Now we change the background color of it and then preview it. We again change the background color and make it a lighter blue. By using eyedropper tool, we can select the actual background color which we are making a lighter blue and using it for waterfall patches. Here we are using custom colors, then editing it and using the same color for the upper group. These colors are matching now.

Preview it and we can see the feel of movement of water. We are preparing the instances of it by reaching onto the main scene. Press out to prepare to duplicate copies. and placed them to one side. After these two copies, we can prepare for five, six as multiple duplicates of them. As seen in the video, we have to change the timings of these multiple duplicates.

Now, we will use this duplicate option technique more often while creating such special effects. And we have to vary the timings of duplicates so that the monotony will be removed from it. We can edit anything and it will apply the same everywhere and will get a good effect because there is only one symbol, then preview it and we can see the effect. Create a duplicate window again, select all the symbols and shift it towards the center of the screen. The work of editing is still running inside the symbolic. Now we add a new layer on where our object is animated.

Select the color just like the color of water and we are adding brushstroke effects and patches with the same color. Now we can again observe that all the changes that we make to the symbol are applied all over because the same symbol is being duplicated. This is the advantage of duplication of symbol work, it saves a lot of work. Now preview it, and we can see the effect of water. Next, we add the patches on the upper part of the object by using the brush tool for this. Each artist can do this work with his own style.

There are no specific parameters for this, you can get more different and attractive styles with some more experiments. We are only trying to make you understand the techniques of this animation. We can check this by using the outline mode and now we can see some better effects with this. Now we do some variations in timings, we can get better effects by setting difference in timings of the nearby symbols. We are editing the patch work done by brush. This process can be continued until you get your satisfied results.

Now we can see different effects here, just like a true waterfall. Next, slightly increase the length. We said 25 frames length, outside and inside and now preview it. It seems to be a bit slower in speed. With the effect of this we can see a single animation from top to bottom in one second. Hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
