Hello and welcome to a special effects tutorial from Aroha media. In this assignment, we are going to see a different style of waterfall. Let's begin by pressing Control plus and to create new document. Draw one rectangle and convert this rectangle into a symbol. Delete the outline by going inside this symbol place the symbol in the center as per the flow of the waterfall, edit the shape of the rectangle. Please see the way in which it is being edited on the screen.

In the same way, we have to achieve the shape. We are doing this with simple steps. Keep snap to object option on so that editing will be easier. Now select the eraser tool by pressing the shortcut key He add distortion to the flow of water or try to make it feel uneven so that it will have a more convincing effect. The upper portion is narrow and the width increases towards the bottom. Edit the shape as seen on the screen.

On the 30th frame, add a keyframe and apply shaped when. Then, by going to the first keyframe, add for shape hints ABCD we place these keys at the four corners of the shape, and then by clicking on the last key, plays them again at the same position of the shape. Now, on the first keyframe, add a new hint II, which keeps the first key towards upper side and then brings it down as seen on the screen. Here we can see the water like animation on one side in the same way as the shape hint f to the opposite side and match it. The shape is animated from top to bottom due to which we feel that the water is falling down. If you remember, we have used this technique before.

Now add a G shape hint. After clicking preview, it is not visible because we forgot to add a keyframe outside. So add frame on the 30th frame shortcut key f5 Now try the preview. Change the position of the G hint now and see it's preview. Control plus enter till you get the desired result, keep experimenting With the position of the hands give timing as 20 is in. We have already seen how editing the timing works in the first module.

Insert a new layer and draw a rectangle. convert it into a symbol places where the water is hot from. Then go inside this symbol and convert it into a symbol again, called r1. add a keyframe to the 30th frame and add motion to win. Now place it at the bottom of the animation as seen in the video. scale it up by 105% 120% hundred and 20% respectively to match with the shape.

Now add a new layer and draw a line on it. Give it a go And then exactly match the line and guided. Double click the lower layer and add motion guide. This patch will exactly travel over this line which will exactly match the water flow. Now go inside this symbol, delete the outline of the batch, change the color of it and make some changes in the shape. Add curves to it by pressing Control, try to make corners this shape will also help in the appearance of the water flow now it starts playing Go to the last keyframe slightly rotate the shape, squeeze it and change the registration point add some rotations now it goes from the shape of the waterfall.

Give minus 38 is in time. The timing is fast to slow add new layer on top. The first patch of water flow is animated and all the keys are copied and pasted on the new layer. Now right click to create mask. The new patch created is visible in the portion in which mask is there. Below the mask layers, add three more new layers and duplicate the patch which is animated from top to bottom.

Change the timing of it by going to every layer like loop 510 15 in the same way, add more duplicate layers and copy the same patch. Assign the timings with five rim intervals like 2025. Now the continuous flow is visible. Change the color by going inside the symbolic by taking the same color, darken it and change the tone. Fill it in the water flow patch. Now, the colors appear as they are from the same palette.

Preview it now we can see the basic waterfall not improvements can be made into this. Go inside the shape which we animated. Give keyframe as 15 frames to it and add shape to in edit the shape of it on the 15th key, so that when the water comes down, there will be an internal movement due to which the cutout field will decrease. The result appears after editing. Add another keyframe on the 30th frame. make some changes in the shape so that some variation will come in our waterfall.

Here it breaks hence, add a shape and and then match it Add one motor shape in. We can decrease the breaks in the shapes by adding more shape hints. Since all the layers are duplicate copies of the same symbol, this animation will be applied in all duplicated symbols. Now some variations appear in the shape Lock the layer and add one more layer. Draw some patches on the new layer in same way that we created them earlier. Here, your position is more important because if it's overlapping, it's not visible.

Hence, it needs to be changed. Here we see that the patches we had drawn have been added the patches are not seen very clearly here. So change their colors. Make sure that they are from the same palette as that of the water flow. Now it looks much better. Here we have a slight water drop effect to the waterfall By adding small spots, it gets a feel of splutters from the waterfall.

Let us check some things by clicking outside the symbol. Check the preview to watch the result. Thank you
