Welcome back, we'll be going over the second component of tempo methodology, which is evaluate. So let's get started. Again, this methodology is what it sounds like, we're now going to evaluate our current results from the notes we took during our day. And during this stage, it's important to look for the momentum killers and the momentum boosters. Not only are we going to scrutinize our own self managing habits, but we're also going to look at some external forces that are pretty much out of our control. Okay, so let's pull my notes back up from my test day on July 16.

And again, you'll have lots more information to dive into and examine when you're doing this on your own. But again, I'm trying to keep this course as short into the point as possible, right. So let's start with what we did well on this day, or what we felt was positive. All I did was take a little marker and put a green dot next to the things that I felt were positive forces. My day that led to increase productivity. Your green dots might be completely different than mine.

This is completely subjective. The green dots show you what you liked about your day and what you felt went well. Personally, some days look like this with lots of green. Some days, I don't have any green on it at all. It varies drastically. And again, I had a decent day.

So I have a pretty good amount of green. So let's run through this a little bit. I'm pretty happy that I was able to get ready for work in just 30 minutes. Pretty sure I made a shake for breakfast and snagged a protein bar something. This is why detailed notes are the way to go. When doing this.

You don't have to guess you want tons of information to pick apart. But anyway, morning looked good. And let's just say I had a productive day at work where I accomplished a lot. Then a 30 minute gym workout went well. I've been compacting my workouts lately into super high paced routines. So this is great.

I've seen great results and it saves me time. Woohoo, bonus and Don't worry, we'll talk about that a bit later in this course. But Lastly, I'm happy that dinner was relatively quick. And I delegated agency workload in just about 30 minutes. But now, let's put a yellow dot next to the things we felt were neither bad nor good. Okay, so here we go.

These are the things we have very little control over. And you know, we're content of kind of leaving them as they are, don't really think they're awesome uses of our time. But you know, we don't really want to put more time into it to figure out how to make it more efficient. Things like commuting. I can't do a whole lot about this unless you you know, hired a driver and did other activities in the car. Again, I'm usually on the phone during my commute.

Now we're using that Bluetooth hands free setup. But then again, there's also sleep. We'll talk later about what you can do about sleep, but I got seven hours of sleep. Not great, but you know, not bad. I'm okay with leaving that alone for now. All right, now we got some color on her nose.

So let's add the infamous red dot for everything we want to change. or improve on. Here's my day in red for July 16. really not that bad. I've been using this technique for a while. But I know when I first started, my notes were literally littered with red dots. But again, let's run through the red dots a little bit.

I wasn't super happy that it took me 30 minutes to prep for my YouTube video that day, usually only takes me 10 minutes max, then I wasn't happy that the video took me about two hours to make. I've been working on cutting this time down tremendously. So this was a unique video or I was really lagging on energy as the day went on. Again, not really entirely sure. Then I wasn't super happy about the fact that I was only able to delegate an hour to working on my course. I remember this day being the day I just couldn't formulate my words clearly enough.

So I was having to redo a lot of things. Making a course requires a lot of time. So not only did I only get an hour to work on it, but during that hour, I wasn't all that proficient. So it was kind of a bummer on all those things. was pretty good, besides the way it ended. Okay, now that we have some red dots on our notes, what does that even mean?

Well, now it gives us the direction to move and ultimately, you know, to improve our lives, we can look at the green and say, Alright, I'm gonna do those things again tomorrow. And we can look at the red and saying, alright, what do I need to do to make those green or at least make them yellow, you can't succeed if you don't have a goal or task to succeed in. So this phase of tempo is to figure out what we need to change or keep the same in our lives. And unless your notes are 100% green, and you are 100% happy with how your day went, then it's time to make some changes. And even if it's 100% Green, which by the way, I've actually had those days, literally, everything was green, and I was incredibly happy with how it went. But even if it's 100% Green, you have to evaluate how you made that happen.

And make sure you can continue to live each day that way. But don't get discouraged at your notes days vary drastically. But the goal is to slowly keep them improving, on average. I've been using this methodology for about three years now and I still have days with tons of reading. It's hard, okay, trust me. Everyone knows how life can throw some crazy things at us.

And we have to dodge enrolled the punches. But the important component to gather from this phase of tempo is the fact that we have a direction and can start formulating a plan. Evaluate, simply evaluate, that's it, you have to take each one of these steps for what they are and not move ahead. So continue on with me as we cover the rest of this section. And I'll see you in the next lecture.
