Welcome back to New lecture, where we'll be discussing a topic we have somewhat alluded to previously in this course. But today we'll be talking about a simple trick to absolutely knock your efficiency and productivity levels out of the ballpark. This is one of the very last lectures in the course. Because it is the grand finale, if you want to call it in my book, right? Most people don't even think about this. But let me tell you that this simple technique in and of itself, is the reason I am here today.
Boom. We're talking about outsourcing. If there has been anything that I've asked you to trust during this course, this should be the most important process to trust. And what exactly is outsourcing you mask? Well, outsourcing is essentially reaching out to external sources to do specific teams or tasks for you. For example, getting someone to do your yard work every month or so.
Outsourcing and nuking a task go hand in hand. If you feel like you Just never make time for something or no matter what you do, you just feel like you don't have enough time, then outsource. However, before we move on, I want to cover something. Do you remember this pie chart. This was how I felt my time has been spent. When we went over tempo methodology earlier in the course, if your chart is only showing a bit of productivity, and it's filled up with miscellaneous jargon or entertainment activities like Netflix or video games or whatever, then for the love of the man upstairs, do not outsource.
You do have time. You are only supposed to be outsourcing when you yourself you are absolutely tapped out. you've implemented tiempo methodology, you're doing everything you can to absolutely be productive as possible. And you're just physically and mentally max. At the end of the day. You're one person and you can only do so much.
That's when you start outsourcing to achieve evil. Even more. Again, this is at the very end of the course, because some people want to just be productivity machines, right? outsourcing is really the only true way to achieve that. Remember, you only get 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year. If you want to be an absolute productivity machine, you can't create time, but you can create tasks that others can do.
So now that we know what outsourcing is, and when we actually need it, or should use it, what should we actually outsource? We've always heard the saying, if you want it done, right, you got to do it yourself. Wrong. Well, for the most part, there are plenty of tasks that we can outsource though. My general rule of thumb is, it's a super important task to allow for the success of useless your company. Then do it.
Why push through a task that you aren't even really qualified for? Trust me spending a little extra cash to have someone else Do it for you will really change your life. We're talking accounting and bookkeeping, tax preparation and filing, payroll, processing creative works, social media and SEO, marketing, anything you don't enjoy. I mean, the list goes on and on. Here's why nobody takes advantage of outsourcing. People always think it's much cheaper just to do these tasks yourself.
Sure, some tasks. Yes, that is true. But majority of business related tasks are the other way around. For example, take creative words. Sure, we could design a logo rebrand or an addition to a line of work or some marketing material, really anything visual for our business or personal self, but the amount of time that it'll take us to come up with our absolute best work is obscene. Look at this.
This is what outsourcing is all about. The amount of time you'll be putting into this creative piece. Will nine out of 10 times outweighed If you were to just pay someone else to do it, here's why. One again, you'll spend an obscene amount of time on it. And two, after you spend that obscene amount of time on it, odds are, it won't even be that good because your main focus is something other than creative works. If you're a god in Photoshop and artistically talented, then obviously this this one doesn't apply to you.
But anyway, what I'm trying to say here is the fact that if you outsource this creative activity, you'll save a tremendous amount of time, and the quality of the piece will most likely be tremendously better, which will then boost your business or yourself much further than if you were to most likely do it yourself. You see the trend that I'm trying to convey here to push this point a tiny bit further. This is a screenshot from a website called fiverr.com. Again, that's f fi Ve rr.com. This artist can create you a super unique and clean looking logo. Any type of design you need for only $25.
This is a professional piece for $25. Plus, I might add that there's even you know, up and coming artists on here, that'll do it for much cheaper as low as $5. These are the types of resources that I highly recommend you use, if you want to really take it to the next level. Ultimately, the reason why outsourcing is so dang successful is because it's usually in your best interest. There's no point in working your butt off for 10 hours on a project when you could just pay someone, let's say $25 to do it for you. Because at the end of the day, let's say your time is worth about $15 an hour.
If you spend those 10 hours on the project, you're actually losing out on $150 you paid someone to do it for $25 and you could have worked elsewhere to earn your hundred and 50. Again, there's no point in working harder when you can work smarter. So please utilize outsourcing however you You specifically can to really make it to the next level, everyone is different. So find what you can outsource and what works best for you. But that will bring us to the end of this lecture. Please take advantage of outsourcing and definitely keep me in the loop on how crazy beneficial is to you.
Again, don't continually overwork yourself, no matter how driven and how motivated you are. We are human, we eventually get burnout and use up all our gas in the tank. So don't let that be the bane of your productivity, get help. You can't take on the world all by yourself. I'm pretty sure Superman did a little outsourcing in his day as well. But that will do it for now.
There's just a few more final touches in this course. I'll see you in the next lecture to wrap things up.
