Welcome, and welcome to a biblical Christian worldview, a foundation for Christian education. This is the first of three short lectures, sessions presentations, if you will, that lead you through the development of understanding your worldview. Understanding your worldview helped you to understand the impact that it has on your teaching, curriculum development and your work in an educational institution. I'm addressing this primary teachers. But of course, a worldview is something that impacts all of our lives in all of our ways. So whether you are an educator, or whether you work in some other area, this is still very relevant to you.

This very first part of the course begins by explaining and helping you to understand that you In fact, I already have a worldview. So let's begin with a definition In fact, before we begin with a definition, let's talk about why we need to consider our worldview. And why we need to be aware and intentional about our worldview and our worldview in action. And I want to draw your mind and your attention to the scripture from Colossians two, verse eight, which states that beware lest anyone kept you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the traditions of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. And descriptive makes it very clear that we need to be really wary and careful about our understanding of what is going on around our world, and also about how we then transmit that to other people.
