Okay, so right now I want to talk to you about taking input. So when you can take input at work in a work situation, we're going to get input, somebody's going to like what we did, they're going to have a suggestion about how we might do something else. So we're really need to, if we want to be successful, and create fluid and harmonious relationships, we really want to be able to take input. And very often what can happen when we when somebody gives us input is we can try and block it or get defensive, or we start blaming or judging, or we just want to just hide and shut down. So all of that takes a ton of energy. actually gets in the way of getting things done getting what wants to be done done, because we're spending a lot of time blaming and judging and hiding and defending.

So this is really freedom from all of that. Take the input. How do you do that? Okay, first of all you breathe. Second of all, you use your skill of sensation tracking, you feel the discomfort. And I'm going to ask you to do something here that is going against most people's natural inclination, which is actually to lean in to the discomfort to lean in to the place where we just feel like oh, I just want to back away from that.

I don't want to feel that that doesn't feel good. Because as humans, we just want to feel good. We want to feel pleasure. We want to feel happy. Most of us shy away from the challenging feelings like sadness or fear. Or, oh no, I did something wrong.

You know that sort of like anxiety around Oh, I messed up. So leaning into the discomfort, and you can do this, it will take practice. And you can do this by just breathing and noticing the feeling. So when I feel like oh, I did something wrong, my heart starts beating quickly. Maybe my throat gets a little contracted. Maybe I get a little bit up in my head, and the thoughts start swirling around like, Oh, no, I did something wrong.

I must be bad. You know, it's just, it's just human nature. So we're interrupting human nature, for more skillful, kind of honed and cultivated, I would even say mature response rather than just being in reaction. defending against or blaming or judging, or hiding. So, feeling the sensation, so I might feel that beating of my heart. And I might just take a few breaths, you've probably heard, you know, pause, take three breaths, count to 10.

Because what happens when you don't? You get into some struggle, you get into some strife. And that just really, first of all takes a lot of energy. Second of all, delays and interrupts productivity. Third ball just creates friction, and a feeling of disharmony, where you feel kind of not at ease. So if you want to feel at ease, you want to be more productive.

You want to create more team play. Let's cooperate for work. Let's cooperate. Let's realize, Hey, I'm on your team. You're on my team. Awesome.

Let's do it. Together. beyond my Team, I'm on your team. So when we're on the same team, it means we're going to have to take input from one another. And it doesn't mean that you've done anything wrong. So we're really building on the skills that I've offered you so far.

Grounding, breathing, sensation, tracking, pausing. So you're just going to feel what's going on. You're going to take a breath before anything comes out of your mouth. Pause, take your time. You might even need to step away and say, You know what, I'm feeling a little triggered. I'm going to step away.

I don't want to say what wants to be blurted out. Because how many times have you blurted something out, and it's actually left a big mess, or little mess for you to clean up later. So this is a way of feeling your feelings, letting them circulate, and just taking the input to say yes to the input, try it on. You might learn something. It doesn't mean you're wrong. The other person's right.

This is also stepping out of the polarity of right and wrong. It's just, oh, we're on the same team. Let's work together. Let's find a middle way. So feel your feelings. Let them circulate around.

Take some breaths, and pause before you respond. And be willing to experiment with saying yes, say yes to the input. Say yes to yourself, say yes to your team.
