Transcript

Hey, welcome back in this video, we're going to talk about some ranking factors in LinkedIn to help you show up and people search results just help you make more connections, and ultimately make more money. So the first factor we want to talk about is connections. Okay, so the more connections you have in LinkedIn, the better. You want to connect with as many people as possible, okay? So you want to ask your friends, the people you're connected with with, ask them for introductions to other people. You want to, you know, seek out other people in your niche.

And we showed you a couple techniques you can use using Google. You can also use the LinkedIn search bar, which we'll talk about as well. But then once you have several connections, and you know a lot of people in different networks, then you want to start connecting those people to each other. Okay? And you can do that through a couple different means, but the whole idea is Just you connect as many people as possible, and they connect those people together. A lot of people avoid this step.

A lot of people have a kind of a scarcity mentality when it comes to their contacts, and they want to hoard their contacts, but don't do this. You know, even if somebody that you connect with each other, if they go off and make money without you, it's not the end of the world, it's probably a good thing in the long run. Okay, so don't worry about people going and, you know, working without you, I mean, the more people that you can connect to each other, and the more you can grow your community, the more money you're going to make a guarantee it. So when you're looking to connect people together, you know, one thing is that you need to have credibility already with those people. Okay, so once you've formed your kind of, you know, network and you've started making a lot of connections, you know, have some conversations with people.

Let people know what you're all about. You know, it never hurts to get gifts, you know, like free audios cool stuff, like if you've got a product launching or you've written something, you know, feel free to share that with people, okay, that's only going to build your credibility. And then when you're connecting people, remember that it's best to connect people that are kind of, you know, in the same industry or have, you know, the same way of thinking or kind of look at things the same. And then definitely connect people with shared values. And really, the best way to do this is to connect people with shared values that you also share as well. So the three of you kind of formed this kind of triadic relationship, where you all kind of think the same and you're all high achievers and whatnot.

So so the next thing you want to think about is expert status. Okay? So you want to become the authority in your niche. All right. Now, one way to do this is to have a lot of products and have a lot of services that you've created and launched, that you can put in your experience. If you don't have that yet, then you know, start answering questions on LinkedIn answers.

Okay? expert status is given to the person with the best answers. And that's chosen by the members. So just remember when you're answering questions to stay relevant, stay current, do your research. If you have the best answer, you'll get the expert status that'll give you the authority that you're looking for. People will see that that'll only help go go a long way on when you're contacting and talking to people on LinkedIn.

You also want to keep your account active. Okay, so you want to use your account, sometimes social networks, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, if you don't, you know, I don't know, maybe not Facebook, but I know I've heard this from Twitter. I've heard about LinkedIn. If you don't ever use your account, sometimes your account will just go inactive. Alright. So make sure you're using your account.

Make sure you're, you know, connecting people and connecting yourself to people and updating your profile and things like that. Then remember, even if you are an internet marketer and you are trying to sell maybe affiliate products or your own products, never spam other members in LinkedIn, that's a surefire way to get completely kicked off of LinkedIn and have to restart an account. And it's never any fun to do that, especially when you lose all your contacts. So first of all mixer, when you get a lot of contacts, you export those contacts, so you have them, and then you can import them back into LinkedIn later. If you did get your account shut down. At least you'd have your contacts, okay.

And then also keep in mind that LinkedIn creates new features all the time. Just use those carefully. I've heard stories I just read an article about someone who was using one of LinkedIn new tag features and LinkedIn and then ended up deactivating their account because LinkedIn was a LinkedIn thought they were using some kind of automated system automated program to pull data and information from LinkedIn. Okay, because they were so active Using this new feature, it confused the, you know, whatever the robots that that look for this kind of stuff, and they got their account shut down to a couple weeks to get it back up. So just because LinkedIn throws out a new feature, you know, don't don't go crazy with it. I'm using this stuff sparingly at first, you know, sometimes there's a lot of bugs whenever a new software or new features introduced.

So just remember being too active on LinkedIn and the wrong types of ways can also get your account disabled. It's rare, don't get paranoid about it. I mean, what we're telling you to do is certainly be active and connect people. But just wanted to throw that out there as a disclaimer, and then always go read the LinkedIn Terms of Service. I say this on everything we talked about, but you definitely want to do that. There's no way I can go over every single thing you can and can't do on LinkedIn and a course like this.

But you want to make sure you go through their terms of service. Figure out what you can do, figure out what you can't do, and then just stay legit. You'll be fine.
