Here are all the traditional technical combinations for the application of paint to paper for watercoloring: We will be mastering the 'starred' applications today. 1) Flat wash on dry paper * 2) Flat wash on wet paper * 3) Graded wash on wet paper * 4) Graded wash on dry paper * 5) Granulated wash 6) The lift There are a few variations of the above such as dry brushing, scoring, marking and spattering the paper with tools that we will cover in subsequent classes. Note: I promise you that when you master the 'wash technique' you will be on your way to being a true 'aquarellist'.
