Hello and welcome to this Excel VBA fundamentals course My name is Johanna Abdo and I will be your instructor on this course. This course is geared towards beginners who want to learn excel vba so you need to be someone who has hands on experience with Excel with writing formulas and stuff but you do not know how to write code in Excel VBA. So if you're that kind of person, then this course is for you.

And also, if you only know how to record macros, but you don't know how to write VBA code, then this course is for you as well. If you can run macros, but you just only record them, you don't know how to write them and edit them, then this course is for you. And if you're already experienced with writing VBA code, like if you know how to write if statements and do loops and events, then this course is not for you. So this course is basically geared towards beginners. So let's speak a little bit about the course contents. So in the first part of this course, we're going to have an introduction, we're going to understand what objects are and what methods and properties are, we're going to understand the syntax of the VBA language, which is the Visual Basic for Applications, language, and we're going to learn about other topics as well.

And on the second part, we're going to get to know the Visual Basic environment the different elements in it. So what you Get when you press ALT and F 11. We're going to learn about that environment. And also on the third part, we're going to learn about the range object, which is one of the most important objects that you're going to deal with in Excel VBA. And on the fourth part here, we're going to learn about the cells collection object, and then we're going to learn how to deal with worksheets in Excel VBA. on chapter six of the course, we're going to learn about variables.

And on chapter seven, we're going to deal with workbooks in Excel VBA. And on the eighth part, we're going to learn some excel vba logic such as finding the last row and the if statements and case statements amongst other topics as well. And then we're going to learn about loops. So how to repeat actions in Excel VBA using loops, and afterwards, we're going to learn about how to To interact with users using message boxes and input boxes, and then we're going to learn about error handling. So how to deal with errors in Excel VBA. And also we're going to learn about events, which events are basically code that can be triggered when something specific happens on your worksheet or your workbook.
