Here are a few tips to help your child take pride in themselves:

Being on time for class, work, and practice.
Putting their phone away and participating in class.
Being respectful to others.
Making sure the gear given to them is taken care of and never forget to take it home with them.
Cleaning up after themselves.

Keep in mind parents:

No matter how long your children play there will be a time where sports will not be their primary focus. Enjoy watching your child play and cherish every moment.  
There will be a day where you will miss going to games or taking them to practice. Look for those teachable moments that sports can provide.

Action Steps:

Remind your child to express gratitude to the bus drivers, the coaches, the officials, and the opponent. 
Remind yourself that the decisions you make are a reflection of everything that you are representing.
Remind your child that If they see trash on the bus or in the locker, pick it up and throw it out even if it doesn’t belong...
