Many parents are spending a lot of time and money in the hope that their child develops the sports-specific skill sets to play at higher levels. Unfortunately, 70% of kids are quitting a particular sport by the age of 13. So, at that point, these skills become rarely used once kids are done playing. Kids quitting sports is a major problem for many reasons including the diminishment of physical activity and greater potential to gravitate to unhealthy lifestyles, as well as lost opportunities at learning life lessons through sports.

Most parents of young children want to guide their child in youth sports so they have fun, develop great friendships, and have long-term success in and out of the sport. But, sometimes they don’t know the best way to do it.
