One of the fun things inside of Camtasia is the ability to speed up or slow down the track as you need to at certain points, especially if you have things where you've separated the audio and the video perhaps, by right clicking, just doing that. And say that you want to increase the play speed. All you're going to do is right click Add play speed. And as you can see right there, that play speed is dropping. And what that's ultimately going to do right there is play it at a faster rate. Wow, the audio in the background still plays at the normal rate.
So this can be used in a lot of scenarios, especially where maybe an intro is a little bit too long and you want to speed it up. Or there's an animation that is normally you already have saved and it plays it one x speed. You want to speed that up maybe two x five x it can go All the way quite a bit until it gets literally up to about two or 300. After that it starts becoming almost too much to be able to control. But you can speed up these things quite a bit, slow them down, all the way down to point 001 x. So you can take just one video that maybe is already extremely fast, slow it down.
Or you can again, like I said, speed it up. One of the fun things that is often done with this is when you pair these clip speeds up together, then they can actually create a unique effect of speeding up and slowing down. So this is great for Film Editing, or doing almost slow motion effects as well.
