Another fun thing that you can actually add to your videos inside Camtasia is the interactivity. And interactivity usually means it's going to add a quiz. And again, these are things where you have to upload that HTML file has to be a smart player, that's html5. So that way, it's usually being uploaded to a website that will also allow you to host additional code alongside it, YouTube, Vimeo, those types of web, video sharing sites are not going to allow you to do this. So this is more something for your own website. If it is for your own website, then these are great things to add.

And they can really add some great again, interactivity to your videos and get people really involved. But if it's just going up to YouTube, then this is probably something you're going to end up skipping. It's a little bit more advanced, but it is fun when you get into it. So you're going to do and it's not really pre viewable. Here. It's only once you render it and then it actually brings up with The HTML file everything inside the video, but you're just going to add a quiz to the timeline, it's going to do that.

Or you can even do it to the selected media either way, what's going to happen is when it plays, it's going to hit a certain mark, that mark is going to then pop up this quiz right here. And I have a few questions already set up over here. So you can kind of see the different variations of questions that you can ask and how they're set up. And you can also choose if you want to even display feedback again, if it's correct, you did this right, then it allows you to continue or maybe it'll go to a URL or jump to a certain time or a marker, whatever you have set up. If it's incorrect, you know, you can get people to jump right back. So this is great for again, tutoring or teaching sessions where you ask someone Hey, real quick, I just want to ask you, did you get this last part, you know if one plus one equals two Then two plus two equals what.

And if they didn't understand the basic arithmetic, you're gonna go back, and you're gonna go to that timeline or that marker inside. And again, you establish markers by pressing Ctrl m, or just m, I'm sorry, and they'll establish a marker right there. And from there, you'll be able to then go back and forth. We see here, jump to that marker. Okay, marker number one. And that's will continue if they got it correct.

And if they didn't get correct, then they'll go back back to that marker, where we re explain this detail or this portion that they need to re examine to get the correct answer. So for mine, it was you know, how old am I? And then the basic range, this is a multiple choice. Obviously, there is one correct answer, I if you do have a multiple choice where it's you know, something like all the above or B and C, you know, things like that. You just click these little icons right here, the little bullet points, or radio buttons as they're called. And that'll show which should be the right answer when people answer.

Now I'm going over here to a fill in the blank, you know, hey was a favorite color. And maybe for me blue. And, again, if someone gets that wrong, I want to make sure that someone can go back to that marker. And, hey, learn a little bit more about that portion. Or maybe you don't want to display the feedback. That's all right.

What that basically does, if you do not display the feedback, is it people are going to go on, as if they don't know if they really got it right or wrong. It's just Hey, fill in this blank. And it's for your sake, we're going to see if you got this. Now, it will tell you if you got it right or wrong, but then you can actually again display things where you can continue after this. So for this, I don't really care whether people get it right or wrong, I just want to enter in something be interactive, so we won't display feedback. They're here.

A short answer. This is going to be real simple. There is no feedback because it's open for interpretation. There's many things. What do you want in your life? You know, it could be I want to kayak or I want a million dollars.

There can be multiple things. Another easy one is the true or false. Again, if it's true or false, you go and you re explain it again, maybe jump to a URL that's explaining that. Then that's the search basic math. You know, did you did you understand basic math, John's 10? Mary's two or Mary's two years older than john is married.

12 Yes, that's true. So correct. Go ahead. Go forward. If incorrect, visit this URL. And then it will go to this URL once they click on it.

So again, all of these things are enabled inside your smart player. Those are all of the options that you have, you can add questions by just selecting that at the bottom. And you can select your type right here, again, multiple choice, fill in the blank, short answer. These are the ones currently available. And if you don't want any of these, you can just press X gets rid of them, one after another, say you accidentally did delete one. Again, all you got to do Ctrl Z Ctrl Z Ctrl Z, everything goes back.

The beautiful thing about Camtasia is that any actions that you do can be undone inside of it. So if you do happen to mess something up, it can go back quite a numerous amount. Depending on how large your RAM is Ram is allowing you to, again random access memory, see how many times you can undo or go forward etc. That's going to be dependent on your RAM. But with that being said, those are the interactivities that you can add inside those quizzes those questions so that way people that come through on your website, especially if you're doing some sort of teaching or academic, these quizzes will help people understand what you just taught and validate that they learn the correct answers.
