So welcome to mindset hacks for language learners on this course we're going to look at the hacks the principles, the ways of thinking to make you a more effective language learner. So the course itself is broken up into six different modules. On the first module, we're going to look at your mindset. So in this module, we're going to look at concepts such as growth mindset versus fixed mindset, we're going to look at introversion and extraversion take a closer look at that. We're going to look at experimentation and self honesty and how this will make you a more effective language learner. In Module Two we're looking at the functional language learning is the word are used for the strategy element of things so it's learning the practical words that will get you speaking quicker.

So we're going to look at the power of the questions you're asking yourself right now we're going to look at word usage frequency. This is the concept that some words are more important than other words, and we're gonna look at the verb tenses what verb tenses you specifically need to know when it comes to French and how to leverage the infinitive when it comes to French. In this module, we're going to talk about the French language The principles we're talking about will apply to Spanish, Italian, potentially Portuguese, their languages within the romance family. Module tree is all about our emotions. So when it comes to language learning, there's no getting around talking to human beings. And when it comes to talking to other human beings, oftentimes we're met with uncomfortable emotions.

So in this module, we're going to really, really dig into emotions and the feelings that are could be holding you back right now how to process them better, how to move forward with them. So in the first video, we're looking at a new way of thinking about discomfort, we're going to look at the principle of focus and how that will affect what you see in the world. And we're going to finally look at the meaning versus looking at the individual words in real time conversations. module four is all about the language hacks and principles. So we're going to look at word usage frequency, we're going to look at the Law of Diminishing Returns because as you start learning more words beyond a certain point, you start reaching a law of diminishing returns. When we talk a little bit more about that.

We're going to use the 4070 decision making rule and apply that to language learning to help us To Know when to speak, we're going to look at the 8020 principle to ask ourselves better questions so that we're getting more output for input, we're going to get spaced repetition. And we're going to finally talk about general language to specific language. module five is about simple brain science, we're going to talk about the riser of your brain, the amygdala, we're gonna look at deliberate practice and muscle memory and how that's going to make you a better language learner over time. And we're gonna look at the habits that you need to farm to make yourself a more effective language learner. And we're going to talk a little bit about neural pathways to help you to understand that whole learning process itself and what's going on in the brain level when you learn a new skill.

Final module is module six. So this is all about your environments, we're going to I'm going to give you some tips into how to actually influence your environment over time to make language learning easier for you. So we're gonna look at artificial immersion, we're going to look at an exploit called can control versus can control and we're going to finally look at how to make friends that will help you to become a better language learner. So that's basically the overview The course what you're going to get in this course are the questions the principles, the hacks that will make you a more effective language learner. Right now you could be a beginner, you might be going from intermediate to advanced, these sorts of ways of thinking and these questions are going to help you to uplevel your language learning. So that's it.
