Well, I'm so glad to see you put that on your feet. And that's exactly the kind of thing that we're going to talk about today that balances being comfortable. So if you're uncomfortable in some way, you're out of balance. So there's six directions that we can become other balance in. So when you're uncomfortable, what? In what way?

Can you be uncomfortable? Can you? Yeah, it could be cold. Yes. So balance has been comfortable and one of the ways we can be uncomfortable is cool, right? These are three pairs of opposites.

So it can be too cold. What else can be hot? Too hot. Over here. And then how else can you be more comfortable to fall which would be heavy. So to fall is in the moment and if you get to fall too regularly, you're going to be too heavy.

And then the opposite of too heavy is too late, too late. So and the other two directions anyone has heard about like I like I'm thinking about feeling too hyper, where to access. So we talked about this a little bit that people can be too damp or too dry. In each of these, if you go too far in each of these directions, you're going to get a disease. And each one of these has their own tendency towards disease. So if you get too dry, the tendency is going to be arthritis, dry arthritis.

Things. Write the sentence anyway and yet you're going to have brittle bones, you're going to have brittle hair, your nails are going to be brittle. We're going to get possibly dry, often dry, cold and light will go together. So you get a thin final person who gets dry and they're always cold. So they're going to get a particular set of diseases if they keep going in that direction. Hot is, you know your heart attacks your ulcers, burning things in the body.

Write down as your mucousy, stagnation, bloating, swelling kind of diseases. heavy heavy down often go together sometimes heavy, damp and cold, sometimes heavy, damp and hot, heavy, damp and hot is a bad situation. It's like festering in a tropical country kind of stuff that's happening inside the body. So our bodies are a makeup of everything that surrounds us. And they literally are. I mean, we, our bodies are made of the food that we eat, right?

So our cellular structure, the quality of ourselves, the quality of our tissues have to do with what we take in all around us. And it's what we take in with food. It's what we take in the stimulus that we surround ourselves with. It's the other people that we have in our, in our relationships, so we have toxic people in our lives all that is going to be part of what now your main doctor would have a look at, to see what are the issues that are at the cause of this because sometimes diseases are not caused by the food that someone's eating. All that's has to be right, the food has to be there or improper or nothing else is going to work well so we start there always are not your VEDA and then we do the other levels of issues as well. So the inner circle here is going to represent the early symptoms.

So these are the things that you want to look at that come long before a disease is ever present. So what would be the early sentence of being to light somebody gg gg Yeah, yeah that's a good way to put it. Jewelry I got down reactiveness but yeah jittery the people who've been there for it's a restlessness in the system excess want to wait while they're going to be thin, very thick and weight loss anxious thoughts. Anxiety definitely will come with that usually you'd be difficulty sleeping. Yeah. anxiety, worry insomnia.

Okay Brielle maybe? Pardon frail? Well, definitely someone who's frail is too like Yeah. Yeah. That'd be our mind and body. Print.

Sorry. These are mind and body. Yeah, recording that. Okay. Yeah. That Yeah, there'll be a combination.

So What's happening in Bali Of course effects what's happening in mind. So some people have I'm just really anxious while you have enough saturated fat in your diet to help you out here, you know, so you have very thin anxious people doing a low fat diet just will not work, right. Okay, so you've got someone who's a bit too light, they're reactive, jittery, weight loss, anxiety, worry, insomnia, how about to dry? What was the symptoms Fie with to dry, dry skin, dry skin. Dry. So I was just saying like you may be.

Yep. Yeah, let's mention this. Sometimes you get rashes. The sinuses will be dry. So you might notice in the winter that it's pretty dry up here. Sometimes you should be putting oil They're all the time on mine.

Coconut oil is great for that. Use your little finger what else might you experience if your teacher and I got to thinking about digestion here? constipation, dry stools. So there's two types of constipation there's dry and Maki dry stools. You're also the lips can be dry and the nose Yeah. Okay, so we got symptoms of Dr. sabet symptoms of cold cold Yep, we got flu like symptoms.

You feel cold. You can't get one for circulation. Things holding hands in those cold heads yeah slows digestion, the joints will be creaky. And this will happen more for the two types anyway, like the people who have fine your bones are going to have more creepiness and cracking in the joints and heavier bone people who are more lubricated. Yep, that's good about frequent urination that's another one too. So if your feet are cold, then you're probably going to feel like you got to pee.

Ever gone to bed and your feet hurt. You got to get up. You got to get your feet warm. There's a lot of radiant goes first of all the bathrooms are great. And if anything that you leave cold, is going to be at risk for three. That's because you don't have circulation goal.

You know, got blood flow, you don't have blood loop flow happening. When something's cool. Everything's kind of freezing up, basically. So you have to keep things warm. I see people go out and we'll probably some of you have come today with them. Hang on.

Is it cold? Yes, it is kind of cool. Now for someone who's really hot and bothered that maybe this is a relief. So there are those people who are very inflamed or they're just really, you know, you got someone with red hair and freckles, and they're just really bothered kind of folks, my son, and he's so hot and he I need him to wear coat all the time. He's like, I just cannot wear Yeah, so some people and he could be inflamed. That's a lot.

So yeah, so you want to bring that down, get him to get that down. But yeah, that kind of keep being able to go out in the winter without a coat. That's inflammation. So you know, my axe was Hot warm blooded but he would never go out without a hat and scarf in winter. It's just foolhardy so the flu enters the in Chinese medicine they say it enters in through the back of the neck. So if you're out with you and ethics suppose that and for all if you want to get a cold Go ahead, so or if you're, most people are not in touch with their head been cool.

I wasn't for years, you know, I'd walk around say I hate the winter. It's so cool. Well, I wasn't dressed properly. But you see young women do this all the time. They're out in freakin nylons and stuff. Okay, man, what are we gonna have too heavy weight, weight gain.

Loading maybe. Yeah, bloating, water retention. So when you have excess weight, a lot of the time There is, you know, you can say it's fat, but there's also a big component of excess water being held by the body and the tissues. lethargy, right? If you're too heavy, you start feeling, you know, I know this if I put on a certain amount of weight if I go over a certain amount, and I know I have because of how I feel when I'm doing Thai massage, right? I feel like Oh, I got to get up.

Get down, you know, because you're up and down so much. It's just too much work. And it does it. For me. It's maybe five pound shifts that will make me feel that way. Emotionally, people who are too heavy will often be overly sentimental and eventually that will lead to depression.

So the feelings get hurt easily and they stay hurt for a long time. And okay, so there we go. The damp weather the symptoms of being too damp. This is one people may not be as familiar with Steve. I'm sorry. yeasty, needs to be very mucousy mucousy.

Yes. perspiration. Um, it's kind of like that clammy sweat. You know, the pre diabetic or diabetic with the skin is clammy. You're gonna feel that more with dampness. Yeah.

Loose stools. He could. Yeah, it could for sure. possible but not, I wouldn't say man in Germany. Yeah. It could happen easting you could see clam ease or anything else I got here.

Also, you're going to have some lethargy in here as well. And then dampness will will tend to create melancholy kind of feelings thinking about the past. Good times that used to be that that kind of looking backwards. So attachment, attachment. Yeah. I mean what we're talking about here damp and heavy This is that and coal is tendencies of copper.

Right. So we'll get to that. So let's do what what would be the symptoms of hot sweating, hot flashes, cheeks, sweating. Yeah, that could be itchiness. Anger. I'm sorry.

Anger. Anger. flushed. Could be stressed to anger irritable. Yeah, everything things are red, right? redness.

And person. Heart rate is definitely something that will come from being too hot for sure. Yeah. Yeah. The zombie one is the disease, early diseases, skin eruptions. So you've got your, your foot and you just feel hot.

So we've got your teenagers that have this, all these skin acne breakouts, right? Part of that is our hormonal functioning and because of the diet that we're generally eating here in the West, when kids get to that shift in hormones, they're not balanced to begin with. So then they have all of these symptoms. And of course, girls are having terrible menstrual issues and it's all related to dietary diet, an overstimulation of lots of things, you know, there's other mental factors as well. So these are the, these are the signs and symptoms that you want to be looking for on a daily basis. And that's how you choose what you do, what you what kind of foods that you choose, and what what kind of changes you want to make in your lifestyle, right.

So you don't want to let things you want to catch it early. Once it's gone a little further into a disease process, then you're gonna have to work a little harder to get back into balance, but it's all possible, very possible because it's just often a shift of thinking about certain foods and thinking about what you're going to choose. It's not about you cannot lose weight by restricting food that just does not work. So If you if you want to set yourself up for long suffering then go on these restrictive diets, but that's not the way to lose weight. Now your VEDA has a very wonderful, wonderful strategies for for weight loss and the meal that you just have is a wonderful weight loss to me. So we'll be getting into that will be a whole other workshop.

So what do we do if you find yourself that you're too late you're react to reactive and jittery got weight loss anxiety or insomnia you have some of the symptoms what would be the foods that you might choose and this will be our therapeutic strategies and it's all about food. What would be the foods that you might choose? If you're to light oil, need oils and saturated fats for sure. And well cooked food Students do the kinds of things. Yeah, yeah, for sure. That would be helpful but let's go specific specific foods.

What can be specific things? What kinds of foods or kindness do okay so students like meat and some sort of potato or squash or you know, to potatoes. Yeah. nuts, seeds, nuts and seeds and nut butters. nut butter. Yeah, all of those things.

Oil massage. So one of the things we should be doing every pretty much every day before you take the showers oiling body very quickly. So those that's going to be one of the daily habits that we're going to work on as a group. So I got a little lazy about that early. In the winter and I suffered for it and so now I'm really bored at it because my tendency is to be a bit too dry. So I can't skimp on this because I know the difference between going through winter without it and with it because I was dry in the winter for years now.

You know, I'm so much more comfortable because I'm just doing that simple one minute thing in the morning. This might go with dry too, but keeping keeping hydrated so having a vaporizer. Yeah, yeah, I'm going to put that in writing drawing. Yeah. And you need an anti stress lifestyle. So if you're running around like a chicken with your head cut off and you're too light, it's not going to work if you get sick, or whether it's just frequent colds or whether it's going into more of My daughter's Nana Great Grandma was a typical father type and she lived to almost 100 nose wire.

It's about two types like yourself always on the go always on the go, but she was a bit much sometimes she she was a little off the charts more so than yourself. He's like, man, let's settle down. You know you're always trying to settle her down a bit because she was a bit she was too late that she had more oil she was from that generation that saturated fat is bad for you and using margarine, right. So, okay, so if you find yourself and this this is daily, so some days, I may be or not to light as a body type, but some days mentally, emotionally, I'm feeling ungrounded and that's the day I'm going to add more of these things in my diet. So and sometimes it's because of external things that I'm doing other times it's because I haven't been paying attention enough to my usual routine maybe something's gotten out of balance right?

But I'm catching it really early. And I'm going to do something like that day to make myself feel better. So dryness. Valerie, you have one for dryness, the humidifiers This is good. See I forget. So humidifiers is really this is really important in the winter in Canada because it's too dry.

The air is just too dry. So at the very least half warm Miss humidifier. Now the cool the cool mist is going to put dust all over your furniture and then you won't be able to take a towel with the worn Mist Humidifier. You can get a towel and put your hand over and really kind of hydrate your sight. Is tissues if you get if you get to. I'll do that once in a while they feel Oh, I'm just getting to dry up here right, just get a lot of moisture and we can do a facial and all that too.

So, these are really important Honeywell makes the best one if they give you a three year warranty. There's also a wonderful product out there called the room magnifier at which uses no electricity, it just sits over top of the event with two jugs of water and it will bring the water up as the heat comes out of the event. So that's a very helpful thing to have a couple of those in your house but the the warm mist humidifiers that use the electricity will be a continuous spout of mist in the air. There's also these personal humidifiers that Home Hardware selling that you can put by a desk. So if you're Working at a desk for several hours a day. That's a wonderful thing to have work with you, especially if you're in an office.

So that's very important because if your mucous membranes get dry, especially in the nose, that's your first defense against the flu and colds. So those little hairs that are in the in the nose are supposed to catch this. Slow down those viruses so your body can can start its immune response. So if it gets dry up there, you've just deleted one of your first defense against Susan Coles. So get the get awarness humidifier and and get the oil. The oil you can do right away.

So what else would you do for drying it's a lot of liquid hydrating and not necessarily just with water. You want hot The suits and this is why hot brothy suits are such a good breakfast because what have you done for maybe eight hours, they've been sleeping, they haven't had any water so you're somewhat dehydrated when you wake up. So this is a perfect kind of breakfast or hot rocky suit. What else for dryness not for lightening the oils down or oil. The other thing that's helpful is Honey. Honey is a great humectant meaning it gives moisture to body.

Honey and pears if you take a pair and this is a desert, you're gonna steam the pair of put some honey in it in the middle. Cut this stuff out steam If you've got a really dry long issue going on, or people could use to do this because he smoked in the wintertime, it would be a steamed pair with honey in it. And it would just when you have that you can feel how it moisturizers the lungs. So that that's a great way. Because again, yeah, any kind of oils will be here. If you can live in a humid climate, that's the best.

I have this lovely dear client, she comes from Arizona and she's so like dry and she's in such a hot, dry climate. I mean, it's very hard for her to get any kind of balance. And so she's suffering from osteoporosis at this point. You know how you talk about eating In season locally, avocados or not, do we still eat avocados in the winter? Is that advisable? I mean, this is now you're using fruit?

That's a good question. Do we eat things out of season? Generally you want the majority of your diet to be in season, but we're going to use some things medicinally right. So do I eat a lot of avocados? avocados in the winter? No, but I will because I'm dry.

If I was down, I would write not so much. But once in a while, you know, we have some leeway here. And it is nice that we do have access to these things that don't necessarily grow here. But if we know their qualities, and we know what our tendency is, then we can make a decision is this a good thing for me to eat or not? Right? All because because they have saturated fat in them are a bit warming as well.

So we you know, there's that quality. So we want start to look at foods as what are the qualities of these things because the quality of that food is what's going to increase that quality in yourself. So if you're eating if you're light and you're eating salads, for lunch, especially in the wintertime, good luck, you know you're going to be in trouble. But when you do that year after year after year, it's not a good situation. Okay, so cold. What kinds of foods would be good for cold?

Hot suits? Yep. What would you what warms up? Everyone thinks up do do it real fast, spicy. Spicy, spicy. Ginger.

Garlic. So, ginger and garlic should feature very dominantly in cooking over the winter and I tend to because I on on the cold side. I will tend to have garlic and ginger during the summer quite a bit as well. Although some people will lay off with it but more than summer the hot folks. So yeah, Ginger Garlic, again your oils and fats. Warm dairy.

So this is where your warm day milk is great. ginseng tea is good for the cold, folks. And so you can see here, you know people will swear Oh, ginseng tea is great for everybody. Who would you think it wouldn't be good for the hot people? Exactly. Yeah.

So the hot folks do not want to be doing jansing to you and want to recommend that to someone who's hot and bothered. But for the cold folks, it can be can be lovely. A shot of whiskey. You know, if you're in, if you're getting a chill, and you've got, there's whiskey available, that's the time to do it isn't why I'm not a whiskey drinker at all, but I remember one time being very cold getting a shot of whiskey and it just warmed you, you know, and where do they drink this and make it the cold naval climates? Exactly. warm clothes.

And yeah, warm climate. I mean, I would be much more happy. And my daughter as well, we've got to figure out how to do this. If we were all live, if we were living in a somewhat humid, warm climate, that would be very balancing for me, right? for other people. They're just waiting for summer to get over with right so If I could choose a different place to be born in it would have been somewhere like California for sure.

Okay, too heavy What do you think the foods would be for people who are to have a lot of babies free yup leafy nicer it's not hurry No. Oh, this is a problem with a lot of these diets Oh fruits are sweet and then when you have happiness you also have the habits and so people will do these yogurt smoothies with fruit and yogurt and fruit is not a good combination number one, that they'll do these yogurt fruit smoothies for breakfast thinking they're going to lose weight. Yeah, but yeah sounds for sure. What else? soups are great like vegetable soups, they get a thick soup like One of your excellent, that's good. Yeah, you don't want to do really heavy thick suits like this person would be doing right.

So cabbage soup. There's that cabbage soup diet. Think about think about all the crazy diets that are out there and start yelling about what other kinds of crazy diets are out there. Oh, the iTunes Oh, that's a bit different. That can pre create and create great ads around my mother's dime. Yeah.

Diet. What is the Master Cleanse with the lemon? Right. So all your spices are totally necessary here. And that doesn't have the more hot chilies have fat needs heat to move and Dissolve, right? It's like if you've got saturated fat like coconut oil sitting on your counter turns to solid right if it's cold and it'll melt in the heat so fat needs to be melted.

And we do that with with spices, cabbage soup, great fruit. So the only fruits that are good for weight loss are the astringent fruits. Right. So anything is stringent. We've got lemons, wines, great fruit. What else is astringent?

You've chickens can go in here. vigorous massage is very good. When I went to Sherry for an Ayurvedic massage, I thought I talked about that show because it was such a great experience of just getting everything flowing through the body. It just felt like oh, my body is alive in a way it hadn't been for Elia has lupus just had been just circulated so much. It was great, vigorous massage. So lymphatic drainage is very important here.

Because when you get too heavy, there's a stagnant sea in, in the body, things aren't moving well. So when I do a Thai massage on someone who is heavier, has access weight, they feel great afterwards, because it's moving things around as long as they're not as long as it's stagnation and not gone too much into inflammation, right. But if it's stagnation, and you can feel it in the tissues, it's just it's just doesn't move much to start with. And then once you get it moving on, then the person feels really awake. It's when people are too heavy. They have a lot of often they will have a lot of untapped energy.

So there's energy there but they just feel so large it because it's weighed down by the heaviness. So you get that stagnation moving and all of a sudden they have access to more stamina. What about aerobic exercise where they they're getting things Yep, moving inside. Yeah aerobics are great. What happens so when you get too heavy is it's uncomfortable to move, right? Or you don't want to move or it's hard on your joints or there's aches and whatever.

So I never the other than just walking is great. You know, the French women really have mastered this and there's an excellent book called why French women don't get fat and it's very all your Vedic and it's their folk, all your data right by your Vedas everywhere in the world with every traditional culture that lived in harmony with their environment. If you lived up in the Arctic and did a raw food diet, good luck to you, right? That the people who live up there, you know, they eat blubber they eat. They have to live in that environment. Right.

So yeah, aerobics is great, but for a lot of people who are too heavy, that's not a reasonable request at some point. I just met walking. Walking is good. Yeah, yeah, walking is great. So this might be good, but might be uncomfortable. What is stamina?

If you're heavy and cold, you'll love a sauna and it would be fabulous for you. Yes. If you're too hot, it's gonna aggravate you, right? So you get these hot, redheaded, fiery folks doing hot yoga in the middle of summer because it's good for them, right. So this is where you start to gain some wisdom where you don't have to be you don't have to listen to everything that's coming your way from the media and from me know all these this is good for you that's good for you. No No wait I need to check in with me is this good for me.

So you can never say this is good for everybody. Because there may be a few things that are pretty, pretty good for most people. But you know, you have to know this subtlety in order to choose properly for yourself. And as you said earlier, cat things change as we age and children need a different type of diet because they're still growing they need a lot of this kind of foods. Sorry, the weight the to light foods they need. Children need a lot heavier stews and things like that.

And and saturated fat because they needed to build bonds, right? You can't build bones from salads. It's not possible. There will be some of the foods and things that you can do if you're too damn. One of the best ones is hot water and lemon and honey, we can add some honey to that. That's a great one for the heavy folks as well.

Honey not only moisturizes the body but it will it's always sweets. It's the hottest. So it has some heat to it. And so that it's helpful in weight loss small amounts of money and helpful in weight loss. hotwire lemon Honey, what else is good for damages? What did I put in at the end of a suit when I made the suit Watch record.

And why did you say that was? What did you say that tape the black pepper. It's drying it's very dry. So if you're really dry, you don't want to have a lot of black pepper in your diet. You could have some if you have more of these oily brothy soups and you could put some black pepper on your pension. But if you just think, you know, eating and dry sandwich with salt and pepper on it and your drive you've got that's not going to work.

Okay, black pepper. What else forgiveness. I present my spices or Herbes. In particular, I haven't know what they might be. Yeah, all of your spices are going to help with them, usually because they're a little bit stringent. So again, here to doubt this too much water, right.

So dry environments. How else can you get water me Beans lagoons. I'm sorry, lagoons are beans and beans are great for dampness. Yep. They have an astringency to them. And the other Well, you could certainly live in a drier environment, right.

So we're having a winter that back and forth between early spring and winter, early spring and winter, right. So the damp folks are going to see, especially the damp cold folks are going to suffer during this season. Because it's like a spring is not a great time for these folks. That's often when and they'll often get chest infections. So dampness will tend because dampness chest infections also will relate to over sentimentality. So when there's grief or when you have a loss, you know, someone dies that's close to you, that you loved.

Can settle in the lungs. And so if you have a friend who's damp, who has a stressor like that in their life, you'd be very, you would be a very good friend if you gave them chum posh. so charming crash is going to be one of your herbal supplements, that's gonna help with damp, heavy air cooled. The only if you're damp, heavy and hot, then you have to time your intake of children process so that you don't take it when you're hot. So if you're hot and bothered, don't take it. Wait until you feel cooler.

So maybe your cool part of the day is the later in the evening or the early morning take it then because it is a bit more me so it'll just make you more beautiful because you're already hot. Okay, and then you have to when you're in this condition, you got to work to cultivate a happy look, because you're gonna get kind of possibility getting kind of morose, you know, the melancholy. And these, these are your folks that will tend towards suicide. More. So any, any of the things I'm saying about illnesses are generalizations, it's the general tendency, anyone on this circle can get arthritis, but and we'll we'll use that as an example in a minute once we finish this. Okay so anyone can get any disease, but the the tendency is going to be in a certain direction.

And we'll talk more about that. So what will be the therapeutic strategies? If you're too hot? What kind of foods are you going to need? called drinks, fruits, fruit fruit, yeah, these people can do the fruit smoothies. You know, I don't generally recommend green smoothies and smoothies in the wintertime to most people, but there are definitely exceptions to where that would be therapeutic and it would help balance them so that when they got to the summer, they wouldn't be so hot and bothered and I've told some of you this story, but when I first went into perimenopause, I had one hot flash, and I knew I was too hot.

Luckily, we were going into the winter. And that winter, I did smoothies all winter and I wore t shirts, which I never wear in the winter. I mean, just bizarre for me. But and by the time we got to the summer, I was in balance again. So I couldn't eat But the heat didn't bother me, I never had another hot flash. And so that's how I dealt with eating foods that I would usually not eat in the winter at all and have only done that once in my life.

But that brought me into balance in that particular moment. So the water is really helpful for these folks. It's very, so we want things that are going to be very quickly cooling because you don't want to let these conditions go on for very long. And these foods are like Bull's eyes for for balancing these conditions. So what is soda water? So the water that you buy in the store the fizzy so the ones eat, like Perrier or something like yeah, yeah, yeah, Perrier is a bit different, but soda soda like carbonated carbonated water when you drink that it's kind of fizzy, refreshing, like, I don't drink it because I'm too dry.

Like I'm too cold. So maybe the citrus, this citrus that may I'm sorry, it may be citrus for fruit if you're too hot this stringent, stringent nature drug, citrus, not so much. No. It can have a healing effect. I mean, if you're talking about lemons and limes Yeah. So no, you're gonna go for more for your sweet fruits here rather than your stringent.

So yeah, these are the people who are hurting the hell that things like swimming pool places. You know, you don't want to take someone who's real hot and bothered and throw them in the south of India for you know? Well, he might because they teach them what to do. Right. So in the air, they The diet changes as you move around the country, depending on the weather and dressing in a certain way to the dressing to keep cool. And these folks need anger management and meditation.

I mean, we all need this, but these folks in particular, are they're the ones that are going to blow up and cause nastiness right. And we can all get there, I can get irritable too. So and when I am irritable, it's usually for me though, it's not so much being too hot, it's being too overwhelmed. So it's more about a shaky or nervous system. So there's some subtleties to making these distinctions. So in either beta, light, dry and cool relates to what to air And what they call ether which is so in the body they would say so they're looking at the body and now you're VEDA like you would look at weather around us right?

And, and you're going to look at the elements so dry is too much is air and ether, light bearer and ether and that in IR VEDA is called vodka. So when you get these symptoms here generally your to know your VEDA you'd be diagnosed as being too Vata, excess. When you get down into heavy and cold, this is Earth. When you think about the earth when we dig down into the earth, it's damp, heavy and So it's Earth and water. And in all your VEDA, that's called cough. Cough it just means Earth water means air ether, right?

So the script, Oh, I didn't know that. That's why they mean. So we have Kafka along here. And then you're hot and light and dry, sometimes hot, light and dry will go together. This is your fire, right? Your fiery folks, and there's also some water in here.

And this is your pitcher. So we call it so you don't even need to know these words, thoughts up into Kafka, right? You don't have to think about Oh, what what constitution Am I what you have to pay attention As to your daily condition. So when you are starting to pay attention to these early symptoms, then you know you just go towards these kinds of foods. That make sense. So who knows where they are on this continuum?

Everybody know where you are? Sally, what would you say your well is my dream it's possible to be in like two different places. Yeah. Well actually this year I'm lucky don't have such an issue with dry skin but last winter is very dry. By definitely. It was that bottom heavy.

And then sometimes thought, yeah, yeah. So you're out here, go on a limb. into this heavy, hot damp Yeah, area probably with some underlying, I mean the dryness, we're all going to get dry in the winter here. If we don't boil ourselves generally, I mean, there may be the odd person who's just really really got losing lubrication. Generally we need to take care of that no matter here we don't. We don't want to do it with lotions, nobody's putting crappy lotions on your skin.

So you want to use either if you're hot and bothered. Often coconut oil will be helpful, always skin test, because some folks there's the odd person and it's usually a pit to compensate. Who will be bothered by coconut oil, there's something in the fragrance that they just don't like so and it can cause a bit of irritation. So it can either be coconut oil, mustard oil, mustard, seed oil or olive oil. And sometimes it's very nice for hot and bothered, or sesame land. So sesame oil is great because it feeds the bones, anything you put on your skin is something into your system.

So if you're putting these junky lotions with a bunch of crap, list this long of ingredients on your skin, know that that's going directly into your bloodstream or it's making its way through the tissues to the bloodstream. So, sesame oil is so very high in calcium, so it's excellent for the bubbles. So I use that a lot. They make a therapeutic antibody into sesame oil for myself and a few of my clients for achy joints in the winter, or or just, it's got ashwagandha should toggery and go to coal in it. So it's like a powerhouse of nutrients and that really helps me get through Winter. So, mustard oil is often more for the hot, fiery pin subtypes.

Oh no, sorry, I confuse that for the coffee, mustard seed oils more than coffee, folks. Again, you want to check and make sure that you can tolerate it on your skin. Mustard Seed Oil has a penetrating effect and it's hotter and it will break up fat mucus in the system. If you're hot, though, you may not be able to tolerate it may cause irritation. So just always trust with your own body. You need to be your own physician because no one out there not even me can tell you what how your body's going to react to certain things.

So all of us are different than we have to pay attention. Just because it's good for one person doesn't mean it's good for you. So over the course of this year, I'm going to recommend some herbs and things like that. We're going to try them and an IRA to theirs. concept of if you are presented with a patient and you can't figure out what's going on, you pick your best and least intrusive therapeutic action. And you try that on that patient and see how they react.

And then that's going to tell you, if they don't react well, then, you know, you pick the wrong one, and you try it. So there are a few cases that are a little kind of, you just can't figure it out. You try something to know and that's how you have to be with your own bodies. So if you eat something and an hour later you don't feel well. You know that there's something that you ate, how it was cooked or how you ingest it. And sometimes it's not the food the food could be perfectly fine.

It's because you eat standing up in a rush man and right now you've got indigestion. So So this all making sense. Is anyone confused about where they are? I'm not sure because I have hot. Sometimes I think like during the day, maybe not even so much, but occasionally, maybe they're slowing down. That'd be nice.

But I'm also cold because I have cold feet. And so that's, that's uh, so when you have a call, you're going back and forth. That's inflammation. So it's your body trying to it's like getting a cold and you get a fever and then the chills. So your body's trying to modulate your internal temperature, but you're pouring in things that are making it hot. And then you're doing things you know, and it's a tough so when and this happens for me sometimes if I'm going to vote to get a cold or get the flu or something like that.

You can get that hot cold back and forth. And the only way you can deal with it is by covering up when you're cold and peeling off when you're hot, and then eating the foods, so if I'm too hot, do I have aloe vera gel on here? No, I don't have Vera Gel. This is like a bull's eye for being too hot. So I always like to keep some of that in in the fridge just in case I do something, whatever. I mean, just just drink it.

Yeah, yeah, you can mix it with a visit. It's good. No, it's it's a stranger than bad. It's just right at once. It's a stringent and somewhat bitter, so anything bitter is cooling. So you're all going to get one of these charts.

And it says on the chart that these are the early symptoms in the center circle. These are your therapeutic strategies. So your job this month is to put this up some in your kitchen somewhere, you don't have to leave it there forever, but get it up where you're going to see it. And then start to familiarize yourself with the different foods and start thinking every day. How am I feeling? What's my general tendency?

And then what kind of foods do I need to start incorporating a little more into my diet, and then just choose one, like, don't make it Don't you know how to do everything all at once. The great thing about the time that we're going to have together is that we can introduce one or two things each month and really build it into a habit. And the only way I've ever been able to do that is by having visual reminders in places. So when I was learning how to breathe properly, I would have stickies up on my computer in my car at the time and we'll move on my mirror in the bathroom, saying breathe Where's your tongue? Because otherwise, you're not that we have habitual patterns of thought that actually they know now create grooves, neural pathways grooves in the brain. And if you're thinking the same thoughts over and over every day, and then there's been studies that show that most Westerners are, have these repetitive thought patterns, think about the same things that they did yesterday today.

You have to make new grooves in your brain and it takes time. And so for any new habit, you need visual reminders for yourself to be able to do that. And if you don't do that, it's probably not going to happen. So when you go into my kitchen, okay, it's a little busy, there's lots of stuff out, but if that stuff wasn't out, you think I'm gonna take that instant pot out of the cupboard every day. And then No I'm not. I'm too lazy.

It's I just will forget. So I have to see it, you know, the chubby brush has to be out or I will take it. So if you put it up in a cupboard somewhere and close the door, what's the chances of you actually starting to take that? nothing happen. So you got to put it out somewhere. I know a fellow who used to put it by his computer and he just take his time, couple times a day.

So you want to decide and pick don't pick the hardest thing to start with what's going to be the easiest thing for you to incorporate into your schedule your life starting tomorrow or the next day or whenever you can pick up whatever you need, right? So is boiling, are you dry, then boiling the body is going to be probably one of the best things you can do for yourself. You know, if you're to light your you've got cotton you've got more coffee in you than Valerie does. That warm sesame oil mustaches are really important to me in the winter like, I can do it every single day. Yeah, it will be it will be good for me. That's right.

And drinking teas. Yeah, warm herbal teas. That's another very good one for for for cold and dry. You know, you could do less of that. You still need saturated fat. If you don't, if you want to lose weight and you don't have enough saturated fat in your diet, you're going to go for sugar.

And you want to be burning fat, right? So you don't want to give your body sugar because it's going to burn that sugar rather than the fat that you want to get rid of. So if you're on the too heavy side, a cabbage maybe cabbage soup, fill the recipe for cabbage soup make the soup we made today. Just have soup as a wonderful day. It strategy that fills you up. It's very hydrating.

And if you make it spicy enough, and it's hot, and it's perfect in the winter, so you could start your day with a good frothy soup, some vegetables and make sure you got some protein in there, right, some good, good source of protein and easy ways. If I have some cabbage soup, I'm heating it up, I'm gonna have it for breakfast, I'll just drop an egg in there. We'll cook the egg in with the soup and it's a very nice breakfast. So find where you are, and pick something that's really going to be easy for you to do. And that's kind of in the bullseye. The other thing for you guys would be the love in the water and I'll put myself in to my tendency lately has been to go a little bit on the heavy side.

But I have to be careful. I can't do certain things like I can't do salads in the winter. Like because I'm just Colt right over here. So I can do what I can do a nice hot spicy cabbage soup. So if I feel like I've gained a bit and I'm feeling a bit sluggish, then I'll do. I'll make a batch of cabbage soup and I'll have that for lunch for three days or breakfast, you know?

And then I feel, okay, more balance. So pick something, find a place to be able to remind yourself and then and chart, pay attention if you want to keep a journal. I mean, it's a great way to spend a minute or two a day and just start to know What did you eat and how did you feel? You know, and what choices are you making what was a day like? If it's a cold, damp, rainy day, I'm gonna add black pepper to my food, because it's going to feel good and then what spices and hot spices in my food. In the summer, I'm going to lay off the heat a bit, right?

Because I don't want to get overly hot or I'm looking for symptoms of being too hot, right? So you're but let's just talk about we got a few more minutes I'll just talk a little more about Vata, Pitta, kapha, because there's a certain body type to and certain facial features that you're looking for when you're looking at people and trying to decide for yourself what your constitution is and your constitution is what you're born with. That doesn't change. Your condition changes daily, right now, that's where that's where we have control. We have control over our condition. You know, our Constitution.

You know, we got stuck with what we got stuck with. We bought we have the genetics there's a whole new area of epigenetics There there has to in order for a disease to be turned on. Even if you have the genetic markers for it, you have to have an environmental stimulus to do that and that's often diet and exposure to things in our environment right. So the voxer folks are going to be your more fine bones. They have fine phone people, smaller eyes, finer feature and they can be either somewhat short or very tall. Okay, so those are, that's a more pure kind of auto person, often or a combination to or in some people are will have two main dominant notions.

We all have all three cough of ATA and 50 picha in this we all have some heat, we all have some dryness, we Have some heavy dampness, like that's all in our bodies, it just needs to be in balance. But some of us are going to be more to one extreme than the other. Your pitcher folks, they're gonna they're the ones that have more well defined muscles. They have a piercing stare when they look at you. They're intense, they're intense folks. They can have red hair and freckles.

So you see red hair and freckles. And that kind of look, you know, person's pretty good, especially if they've got the, you know, the, and they're building medium build. The monotypes will be your smaller build, folks. This is your medium build. So you had the endomorphic met mesomorphic and whatever that was, that was a very sad rendition of all your very first of all your beta which they thought was just a wonderful and then you have your coffee folks, and the are the folks that have larger bones, bigger frame, bigger cheekbones, nice big eyes. They have melodic voices, they are slower moving generally, and have lots of stamina.

So when we look at stamina, your call for folks have it down pat, they can just go and go home keeper one. So you guys probably can just manage a fair bit with if you don't get too heavy. And even if they get heavier, they can still just keep going. They can be quite ill, without even knowing it because they have so much stamina. You have a pretty good bit of stamina but not quite as much as say Sherry or demean. And you're a little on the coffee side.

And then and then we have to look at the body is one thing, but then there's also the emotional side of things. So you can have someone who looks like they would have a lot of stamina, and probably they do physically but maybe emotionally they shake of it, right? You're You're and then you see people that are combinations. So when I look at Valerie, she's a very good example of bots, a pitcher, right? jazz intensity to more fine bone dry skin. That tendency, but not fit fairly intense to fairly intense person and then the cough Okay, so Sherry is a great example of more of a profit, good big bone structure.

And Dineen, you got a pretty good strong bones as well. So, I mean, we have this crazy kind of focus on skinny mini Miller in our society, and I really think that that's part of trying to keep When, you know focused away from the issues that we really need to be looking at, because our world is falling apart, but how many women are spending all their time worrying about 10 pounds right now, that's not to say when you get so heavy you're experiencing uncomfortableness, that, you know, it's great to do something about that. But to have that be our total focus in life is is a pretty suffering way to be on the planet. A lot of it has been media generated, right? So you can expect if you have this body type you can expect to get to this body type. So JLo was a good and then these folks, they gotta be kept cool.

So we have a lot of inflamed people here. I don't we don't have a real pick to throw but I'm so glad he did this because mine Son is a big hot ready 20 redhead, and I'm that so I've been spending years feeding him salads and telling him to wear coat. And so he's always telling me so hot. This is so informative to me because I've been totally doing the wrong things for him. Well, solids would be fine for him, not for you. Oh, and why did I even the wrong things?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Cuz you're, I mean, so you and I have a similar kind of makeup. So if you look at Lisa's face in my face, the features are smaller, those aren't big coffee eyes. See more? Fine bones and more. Yeah, so I've got a little more of that as well.

The upper body is a little smaller tinier, right, same for me. And then the coffee is more in the legs, right? We got the good strong thighs and so we need to In this culture, we need to appreciate these are the folks who who get things done. As far as we're gonna, like, drop long before the coffee folks are. The bosses are the Canaries in the mine, they're the ones that are going to be emotionally susceptible. They're the ones that are going to experience issues with the wind generating, you know, I can't stand the vibration, sensitive folks, right?

They're gonna feel that stuff. So you could have a lot of wife and a cough, a husband living next to one of those wind turbine, wind turbine living that she's gonna be like, I can't stand this and he's not going to feel fit. That's the kind of difference in physiology that we're looking at. So they're going to be bothered by environmental pollutants more. They have less leeway. They can they can get out of balance faster.

No, not necessarily well. If you're Yeah, if your true bought to live in Canada and the cold and yeah, you're gonna have a harder time. We can certainly do it, you're gonna need a lot of tea. Right? Like he would be fabulous for you. So you got to keep them warm.

And so you'll figure out how you're going to do that. And more in a coffee. Often that's a call for the pizza folks if you've got a coffee pit to type so now you have someone with a lot of stamina and intensity, and they can they're going to go and accomplish a lot. They're also going to destroy the planet. We're all involved in that. But these are the folks you know, they're hot and bothered, they're angry.

They're going to start wars that you know, you look at the difference between Obama and say, Trump those are two very different types and one is very inflamed and the other was fairly even keel in terms of temperament. But you look at Obama you've got classic Vata, Pitta type, they're right. You're cautious. You're gonna have nice big guys big cheekbones and then you get these interesting combinations of say Gwyneth Paltrow. Okay, so you look at think of one of culturals face and she's got big eyes. Nice big cheekbones.

The lips are nice. But then she's got this voxel body. And the other person that's like, that is Audrey Hepburn. Right, right. That painful cough a little face, man that and then this skinny little lot to body that's very attractive. So, um, because it's like you've got a childlike face.

But and then the hidden Nobody to go with it it's it's men find that most of us will fall in the hole of her life. She had endurance she was a social activist right to the end there you know accomplish some really wonderful thing there men a lot of that her body issues or health issues she was she was in a civil war and was deprived of food growing up right. So and with that kind of a body type to start with. So they are very delicate, lovely woman. These are your artists, your poets generally, okay, you know anyone can be in our district. But generally these people will gravitate towards the creative arts.

The coffee folks will will gravitate more towards more physical things. Mainly You see that construction. Often some big construction guys are people who can do a lot of physical work. Your pitches will tend to Go towards Martial Arts and Business. So these are often your CEOs of companies will often have one to Pitzer pitaka you'll see your social activists is your Vita and then your Yeah. And a lot of pity too, because you need to have you need to have the fire behind you to keep you can't just all be well this is what we have to do you have to have that that fire in the goal setting.

Yeah, so there is for sure. And and this can change. So if you need more of this, then you're going to do things that will create heat, right. So you're going to do the opposite of cooling yourself down. You're going to do more of this stuff, right. ginseng tea, make stimulate you make a little more intense coffee We input caffeine now.

Yeah. So one example and then I'll hand things out let's just go if we look at arthritis there's three types of arthritis there's about arthritis, a pit to arthritis and cough arthritis and that's true for all diseases. So what do you think Vata arthritis would be characterized by what would be the main symptoms that they would have? sickness? type pain, pain in those jobs just just like dry on dry Yeah, achy pain. So what happens is it gets so dry that Joyce gets so dried out that that inflammation starts from the bone on bone.

But in the end, yeah, the bata arthritis is dry, creaky, crappy joints, lots of aching. pits arthritis. What do you think that would be mostly characterized by information. Yep. Which would be like and Bernie for like it would be burning. So instead of the aching joints, they're gonna have this burning hot, maybe there's redness.

So that's the kind of arthritis they're gonna have in the coffin, what kind of arthritis this woman is sworn in so it's gonna start, they're gonna have more swelling jaw joints and joints with gunk in the know because there's access right? So whenever there's access in the body, the joints, eventually it won't store it. Your body's very smart. It's going to store things in the best possible place for you, right? breast cancer, boom, that's a place. It's a non essential thing, right?

If the body's always trying to do its best for you, so it will store it in your sexual organs. For guys. It's prostate. You know, the breath is like, put it to the least essential things first. And then if this if the condition continues, you know, then then it has no choice but to start getting clogged up all through the body. Yeah, so they're gonna have the swelling.

Now, as it gets more and more advanced, all three of those just go out of sync. And the person who had the cold, dry, achy joints may now have some hot burning and the big swelling and and Same goes for all, all three of them. So what starts as the earliest symptoms of arthritis will then become more complicated. So the longer condition goes on, the more complicated it becomes, the more damage there is to tissue. The hard You know, the harder it is, the more You have to be very diligent to shift an illness that has gone to an extreme place, right? Can it be done?

Oh yeah. People have healed themselves from incurable cancers brain inoperable brain tumors. There's an excellent book that's a PhD thesis called radical remissions. She studied people who cured themselves of cancer, who the doctor said said, there's nothing more we can do for you. And I identified nine pillars of health and the things that these people did that they all had in common. And they all change their diets.

They all had alternative bodywork therapies, they meditated, they had good cert support circle, they had a zest for life and a reason to live. Because without that, then you're, you know, if you don't feel like you're meant to be here to do something, and then You know, you have to have that something in your life that propels you that you look forward to and something fun. If there's anybody here that doesn't have something fun that you really love to do in your life, find something that's really easy knitting, whatever. But if you're, you know, if overeating or eating in the evening is a problem, you know, especially if you're single, I find, I have to have something that I'm kind of devoting my time to and very interested in. Or else, I could get depressed and feeling lonely, right. So I can't go there in my mind, because I and I have too many things I'm interested in.

But so pick something that that's easy for you or something that you've loved before. You have to have that bit of joy in your life that you can look forward to otherwise in life, it can be like a series of chores. So So I'll hand these out. You've got your This is why the Arthritis spreads. I mean, they'll they'll help symptoms for certain group of folks, right? They're only effective, effective, effective for covering up symptoms and about, you know, 3040 40% of people, right.

So they'll work for the VA to type arthritis. But because they don't understand this, the medical profession doesn't understand this. They don't even divide people into groups when they do their studies. So when I use them when they do scientific studies, that they have to divide people into groups because this effect is going to be very different for this person than not person.
