Hello, I'm Tony factory. Thank you for joining me today on this video blog. Today we're discussing the topic of how do you define success? And listen, it's quite an interesting topic because there are so many varied opinions as to what constitutes success. So this is my take on what I believe is success. And that is firstly, success can be quite elusive if you chase it, because it's continually changing.

It's changing forms changing shape, depending on your level depending on your position in life. So at a young age, success for you might mean something different to your 20s, your 30s and beyond. So allow success to come to you through direct effort. In that case, then success becomes a state of mind. It's what we believe about success. It's how we internalize success.

It's our perception of success, our past experiences that lead us to define how we view ourselves as being successful. So here's an example that you might want to consider two different people might see success in a totally different life. The first person, a poor man might consider providing for his family, each and every day by having food on the table as successful. Whereas in contrast, a wealthy businessman might view success in terms of sales and profits, and neither people are wrong or right, but in their own definition in their own world. success means something different to them. And it's important that they understand that success then, is about fulfillment.

And which leads me to my next point. And that is success must provide happiness and fulfillment. And so what is the point of having success without those two quantities without those two elements. So if we look at successful people, such as athletes, or celebrities, much of their time may be construed in, you know, being famous and that takes away from their personal power or takes away from their time spent with loved ones. And so success to them might mean something different that might have come to mean a totally different view of what they define as successful, because life has shown them that to be successful, their time they've had to trade their time in order to be successful. Celebrities might have the pupper rT in their face all the time.

Unable to do the simple things such as go shopping with their family, so it impinges on their time. Therefore success does not provide happiness and fulfillment. Certainly it might provide fulfillment and happiness whilst they're pursuing their career such as being an actor on set and doing press interviews and so forth. But if it spirals out of control, then success isn't providing happiness. So what does success mean for me personally, I guess success for me means fulfillment and satisfaction. And those two elements are quite important being satisfied with where I am and also being fulfilled internally and externally.

For me also, it means striving to become a better version of myself each and every time through personal growth through self empowerment and that is attaining a level Have inner satisfaction which allows me to become greater than I am each and every time by building continually on my strengths, building on my weaknesses and encapsulating those two aspects to become that better version of myself. Here's a formula that I like that represents the quantity of success and that is fulfillment, plus gratitude equals success. And I spoke about this a moment ago about fulfillment and that is being fulfilled, both internally and externally. Now, if we match fulfilment with gratitude, suddenly we are grateful for what we have in our life. It doesn't mean that you aren't striving or you aren't building to be a better version of yourself or to have more. It just means that you are content you are satisfied you are fulfilled in this present moment with what you're with What appears in your life rather.

So if we match those two together, we have fulfillment. And we have gratitude which equals success. Those two energies, those two components are enough to guarantee us a level of success because we have recognized that and internalized and level of success rather than externalize it. And finally, success is a journey. I like Deepak Chopra's definition of success and he says, rather than strive for success, try to attain excellence. I think that's brilliant.

Because when we attain excellence, success is a byproduct of it. You see, when we excel at something when we become great when we become proficient when we exercise our inner genius, our inner power, then excellent becomes an expect excellence rather becomes an extension of that the extension of excellence Then become success. It's almost like a flower blooming. plant the seed, allow it to rise, give it water, feed it, nurture it. And as we do that, both internally and externally events, excess be a beckons us because it's the flowering of that inner reality. A handful of comments there and information.
